I know there are some Lemmy and Motörhead fans out there. Did you know that from 1971 to 1975, he was with a Limey space rock band called Hawkwind?  Formed in 1969, they're still plugging away, albeit with a constantly revolving door of musicians. They've enjoyed a good deal of success in Limeyland and other European countries.

Anyway, from 1972 this is their most successful single and is sung by Lemmy. Also, while the video is from a live performance at Top o' the Pops, the audio is a studio overdub:

Amen.

p. s.  This bit from Wikipedia kinda cracked me up:  " He (Lemmy) was known for his hard-living, road-driven lifestyle, which included chain-smoking and daily consumption of large amounts of alcohol and amphetamine."

I knew Lemmy was in Hawkwind before Motorhead. Hawkwind had psychedelic influnces that Motorhead didn't.

I grew up in the 70's. No wonder I'm so screwed up.
