One of my favorite songs  from my childhood. It's still every bit as good today. Headed by singer Sonny Geraci, this is The Outsiders:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Man, when I was a kid, Paul Revere & The Raiders were the bees knees and the cat's pajamas all rolled into one. If I recall correctly, Pat Benatar had a hit years later with this Raiders standard. Hell, it still sounds super:

I know Paul Revere and the Raiders, but I don't know this tune.

Gary Lewis & the Playboys had several big hits in the 60's. Gary is the son of the late Jerry Lewis. Although this wasn't their biggest song, it is my favorite:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Formed in NYC in 1965, The Left Banks's music is frequently referred to as "baroque rock", due in large part to their use of strings. They had two decent hits with Don't Walk Away Renée being the biggest. This is their other hit and I hope you enjoy it:

Amen.
Deo vindice

I wasn't really a fan of Robbie Robertson with the Band or solo.

Me, neither.  And I'm not saying I disliked them, but there are hundreds of bands and artists I like better. I do like The  Night They Drove Old Dixie Down. Cripple Creek and Chest Fever, but that's about it.

Amen.

Despite the name, The Buckinghams began in Chicago. They had a brief, but spectacular, run of top 10 hits in 1967, with "Kind of A Drag" reaching #1. I like this song taken from a Cannonball Adderly piece:

Amen.
Deo vindice

#71
SoCal band from San Diego, if i remember correctly.  This is their only big hit and it's great any time o' night or day:

Amen.

Good song released in 1969 by a Minnesota band. Black Sabbath, among others, covered it.

Amen.
Deo vindice
