Every Mother's Son was formed in 1966 in NYC. For all intents and purposes, they ended up becoming a one-hit wonder; this song reached #6 and another song made it to #46. They managed to produce two albums before calling it quits in 1968:

Amen.
Deo vindice

Hope you enjoyed it, formosan. Here is an earlier version of it marketed as being by a band called The Rare Breed who later was called The Ohio Express. For what it's worth, I like the version byEvery Mother's Son the best:

Amen.

Formed 1965 in London, Small Faces was one of the most influential bands of the last half of the 60s. Steve Marriott later formed Humble Pie.  I had the good fortune of seeing HP live, but I digress. This classic Small Faces number is one of my favorites and Marriott's voice really punches like only he could:

Amen.
Deo vindice

I thought Rod Stewart was a member of that band. I looked up the Small Faces and he was not.

Actually, you weren't far off the mark, amigo. This is from Wikipedia:

" Faces are an English rock band formed in London in 1969. They were formed by members of Small Faces after lead singer and guitarist Steve Marriott left to form Humble Pie. The remaining Small Faces; Ian McLagan (keyboards), Ronnie Lane (bass, vocals), and Kenney Jones (drums and percussion) were joined by guitarist Ronnie Wood and singer Rod Stewart, both from the Jeff Beck Group, and the new line-up was renamed Faces."

There you have it. Thanks for the clarification.

We'll fix that. Humble Pie was formed by Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton in Moreton, Essex, in 1969.  Marriott came from Small Faces and Frampton from a band called The Herd.  They did four albums before Frampton left in '71.  This is one of my favorites from "Rock On", their last album together:
