Who would think he would go from this bubblegum shit to Dirty Deeds. . . .

Hey old bean, here's another historical tidbit - Meet Dave Evans, the original lead vocalist of AC/DC. Yep, he was in the band from November'73 until September'74:

Amen.
Deo vindice

I think he would have been a better fit for the band that Bon Scott was in before AC DC.

In my very youthful youth, Paul Revere & The Raiders was my favorite band. And I still think Mark Lindsay was one of the all-time top rock vocalists and front man.  I saw the band live after Mark departed. Damn good show, but it wasn't the same.

This is probably their biggest number and it's as good today as it was when it first came out:

Amen.
Deo vindice

This band had a coupla nice hits in the mid-60s. This is an interesting bit of their history from Wiki:

"They were originally a "frat rock" band called the Rhondells but were later discovered and managed by Brian Epstein, who was best known as manager of the Beatles. . . . Epstein became their manager and renamed them, as a reference to the circular roundabout known as Centre Square, located in downtown Easton. John Lennon provided the unique spelling of their new name."

I had a 45rpm recording of this song:

Amen.
Deo vindice
