"Need All My Friends" is widely considered to be Lynyrd Skynyrd's first recording. There were 300 45rpm pressings of it in May, 1969. Also interesting is the previous spelling of the band name as Lynard Skynard.  Many also consider it to be an augury of the later classic Free Bird. Anyway, NAMF didn't appear on an album until many years later:

I've seen Eric Burdon & The Animals live. They were formed in 1962 and had some real success in the mid-late 60's. There are many bands and artists with bigger catalogs, but just about all their shit is good to great. They're also one of those bands that ceases to exist without one key member.  In this case, it's Eric Burdon.

Their cover of this old classic wasn't their biggest hit, but it's always been one of my favorites:
