It will.  When I sliced the top of my wrist (was drunk, got dropped off at my apartment that I was living in at the time, didn't have my keys, and did the old 'lift up and slide' that you could still do with those single pane cheap windows, my fucking hands broke the glass and I got sliced real good and deep by a falling piece), I never did seek medical attention.  It was a three or four stitch slice at the most, and I didn't worry about it.



It literally took a few years for the nerves to "fix" themselves to 100% of what they were.  I wasn't even sure if it would ever happen, but it slowly will over time.

The surgeon said the numbness can go away but the nerve may not be fully repaired.  As long as the pain stays gone, it hasn't repaired itself.
