That was a long time ago now, but you could do a "handle ban" and/or an IP ban.  You could cross reference all handles connected to all IP addies that registered/posted with those handles, and do a "full sweep" ban on a poster.



I think one Mod did end up getting shitcanned for something he posted in his "regular" posting time, and had to be unbanned...  I forget the details now.

Bringing on a good group of Mods is EXACTLY like running a 'for-profit' business...  You want just enough of them to get the job done, and NOT ONE MORE!



And don't think for one minute the 'business' will 'run itself'...  It is the job of the owner, to oversee their workers.



A forum owner can sit around all day drinking and shmoozing with his 'workers'...  You can do that!  It doesn't usually work.



Someone must be in charge, and regulate the front-line staff.



This shit can be talked about in a private "Mod Forum," like DV had.  Some issues could come down to a democratic-like vote.  Others?  The owner has the ultimate say, and must stay active running what he/she wants to run, in the end.
