I wouldn't go this far, but I will speak from experience:



The problem becomes apparent with females, when you have too many of them in higher up positions, which often happens on the forums.



I guess statistically there's a better chance of a female being asked to Mod, since there's a statistically greater chance that she is not employed, and thus has more free time to Mod.



So, they slowly start to take over, and without equal male counterparts in the mix, I have seen just how fast the female can trash a forum.



Females think differently than males, and often apply rules differently.  Men are more "by the book."  As in, "Here are the rules, and I'll leave you alone until you fuck up."



Women are constantly on the prowl to not be happy with what works, and seem to find joy in things that often don't work...  If they like you, you can get away with murder.  If they hate you, you're gone for nothing with rules that they'll make up as they go along to suit themselves.



Women can somewhat handle the job, but there must typically be a strong male presence around at all times also, to ensure that things "balance out."
