Is it just a hobby or are you earning some money from it?

I'm accumulating a body of work for when my husband retires... then I'm having an exhibition of my work.

Then you will need to improve, by using the full creative capability of your camera. Any half skilled photographer can immediately tell you use programmed modes on your camera. Your images are snapshots where the camera decides what is best. That won't get you anywhere with serious photographers.

Programmed modes are fine in their place...holiday snaps, or opportunity shots...but not for serious photographs. Unless and until you take control of shutter speed, aperture AND white balance, your photos will be interesting snaps, but not creative show pieces.

I have photos in RAW too Brick...

It's going to be interesting seeing some of it printed on canvas...

See this guy? I bought 2 calanders off him...He's a chef by trade...

I've been approached by pro Australian bird photographers to post on their page.

Do you think I'm going to put out my best online BEFORE I'm ready to sell? LOL

RAW is NOT a shooting mode. It is merely saving the photo in camera without any manipulation or compression so you can edit the image as shot, not converted to JPEG. RAW is not a reflection of the quality of the PICTURE, only the quality of the file. Shooting in RAW does not render a bad photograph good, although it does extend your post production options somewhat.

I'm not trying to criticise, but to assist you take your photography to the next level. You are enthusiastic and energetic in terms of finding your subjects, and you have a good eye. But once you see a subject, you then ask the camera to do all the work, and the result is both obvious and less than it could have been.

That's my view. Take it or leave it.

Great shots.

Do you think he took them in a programmed mode??

Shots like that take HOURS of prep, planning and patience.

caskur

Take your word. I'm not a nature shooter per se. I don't have the patience for lightning shots, particularly as they are something of a cliche.

Nobody us saying you haven't got talent.

But please yourself. I'm offering feedback. Do with it what you wish.
