I am glad you had a safe and enjoyble trip.

Thank ya mam, I'll post some pics when I can! Mt. Rainer was the fo'shizzle!    Well, it was awesome anyway

I've been to the Seattle area.

Lots of things to do if you can afford it.

Everything costs there. Hell I thought going to hike Mt. Rainer would be free aside from gas to get there, nope, $30 for park access and parking. But the pass lasts a week I think.

Like Vancouver, you need a lot of income to live in Seattle.

Just like American national parks.

Around here its not bad, everything mostly free. There are a couple parks that charge $3 for parking, that goes back to the park, but not $30! The most I pay at a national park is $10 for camping at a campground, but I rarely camp there anymore unless its with several people. I like to backpack up to a spot of mine for free lol.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

For sure, and costs are still rising. My brother calls it a genderfication, though its not gender specific. Turns out he means that things are getting more expensive and its pushing normal folks out, while keeping the rich in.

He did say I would be able to do fine in Olympia, which isnt too far from Seattle. Said its closer to prices Im use to here in Roanoke.

Oh man, even me and my brother almost got into an argument. He has a HATE for Trump. I could barely even talk sensibly with him before I noticed his anger in his voice. They really hate Trump up there. I couldnt even talk about the good things hes done, he would say "its not true" or some shit. He tried to change the subject because he felt I was a Trumper and he was ending it on a sour note, but I wasnt having it, and tried to calm him down and continue the conversation reasonably. Tried telling him about the Elite and stuff as well, which I have before, but now he looked at me as if I was half coo coo. So by then, I had to throw my hands up, and I said "so how bout them Red Sox" lol.

Another thing I noticed about him thats changed, since hes in the money now. Hes all for Socialism, but when it comes to homeless, they are still beneath him. He looks at them as having mental disorders ( prolly since its part of his job). Also when they would approach us his reaction was to ignore them, and scolded me later for even talking to one at a bus stop. Said "you cant even look at them". Which is typical of the rich that push for socialism and immigration as well, yet dont want to live near them. I love my brother, but damn lol. I told him I understood avoiding certain folks, but some just want an ear that will hear them, and if I can make them smile for a second, who knows, may make their day. Was a very weird environment there.

Your brother is not a socialist. Progs are the enemy of real socialists like myself.

I know his ilk though. Hates energy development that provide good jobs in the states and Canada instead of muslim hell holes. Looks down on the working class people that benefit from Trump looking out for American workers interests by enforcing immigration law and getting tough on companies that send jobs overseas. He probably loves diversity, but won't live in a diverse neighbourhood let alone anywhere near poor people.

Your brother sounds like a typical West coast prog snob. Sorry, but that's what is seems like.

He still attends the university, so that could be part of it.

When he moved there, he was broke and had a $300 car. Now him and his SO make a good chunk of change. Hell the SO makes more than me in a month than I do in a year.

Yep, modern elitist "socialists" who look down their snouts at the working  classes.

I even joked with him at one point, and said "oh so this is where the common folk go" lol. I dont know how bad he has gotten, but he does feel like hes above others to a degree. Just different things I noticed.
