A buddy of mine is starting a new job in Jan. after 11 years with his current employer.  Simply due to wages.  Similar work and benefits, but $6.00/hour more!



And living here, every dollar earned counts, as cost of living is outrageous.

Yeah I havent had a raise in 8 years, still at $15hr. "Hoping" this one pays more. This area is screwy, wages have been stagnant but prices of everything has doubled in the past decade pretty much. Still not as costly as Seattle or your area even lol. For that Im thankful, but its on the rise.

Just the one kid (20 next month), I just do it all on my own. Gas eats up a portion of my check, and taxes, plus I been making the same wage for 8 years and prices on everything else has gone up quite a bit.

Its not like you drink it all at once lol. It can be spread out in several days. Even when I was in my alcohol mode, I made a bottle last 2 weeks. Wine for a cheaper bottle is around $10, and you get less than 4 glasses out of it, or two per 2 people. A good 6 pack of beer is $10-12, which I think is high for beer. Part of the cost in the bottle is the tax they impose, there is a liquor tax.



Alcohol like Brick is talking is meant to be sipped, and not that often... normally.
