If anything, the Bible is a record of the failures and rebellion of jews and Israel. Still, there is a narrative of redemption in the Bible not just for them, but for us as well.

This is evidenced from when they were forced to wander in the desert 40 years, when they refused to butcher all the pagans which haunted them for the entire existence of Israel, when they lost battles because they didnt obey God, when God's wrath poured out on them from not listening to His prophets, when the country of Israel was divided and eventually both conquered and most jews deported from the land, and when they murdered (with the approval of the Romans) Jesus, God's Son. That last one right there has been used against jews for 2000 years.
