Quote from: Blazor on November 20, 2024, 11:48:48 PMI will have to disagree with you there. You cant tell me, that a human being, with a heart beat, and a smile, is not a child. Abortion is murder to them, and if they could talk from the womb, they would tell you the same.

My Son had to be taken out the womb 2 months early. Some crazy freaks want to abort when the child is only 7 months, that's murder, cause my Son is fully grown now, it makes no difference if he came out early.

My Wife, because of the early birth, could no longer have kids. She hated those that aborted, because there are gals out there that WANT kids, but cant have them, and it is absurd to them when a life is wasted. Women who abort, are selfish. They are killing a child.

If people abort using it as  a mere contraception aid then yes, it's selfish but for all the people I know who aborted were for medical reasons bar one person...

I am not going to go over all this again... We did it at bastard factory years ago.

During pregnancy the growing new life is named zygote, embryo, foetus. They are not babies. My mother in law who was a midwife said all fertized eggs are a life but not all fertized eggs are a potential for life. Only potential mother's get it...

80% of fertized eggs don't make it. They pass out of the body. It's very silly indeed to grieve that and the pressure on women to grieve is bizarre.

The trouble with trying to talk to people here is they stereotype a person seeking abortion... I can tell you most women want to meet the man of their dreams, have a happy child or 3 and live happily ever after until they meet their children and some people are lucky to do that... My mother had many great grandchildren.

Modern people expect it's natural to have perfect pregnancies but it isn't. We only have safe pregnancies now in the west because we have educated people and hospitals.

During the times of the European Kings trying to have sons, women died from child bed fever deaths which were infections after birth and they still die today. Only the invention of antibiotic application do people survive... No antibiotic, no survival.

If men were put in that situation abortions would quadruple. Men risk nothing... All the risk goes to the female. And then men treat women like dirt and expect a different outcome.

Women have to give up their life to raise children while men still do as they please.

Now I know the men here like Biggie and Lokmar are great father's but they are in the 30% of men who love  kids and supported their kids... My husband would be in that class of man too..

I am getting into the social reasons now which aren't helping. I am digressing.

You can cross all you like Lokmar but pregnancies aren't babies yet according to law. Zygotes, embryos and foetus die invetro and then mother's to be have to have an abortion and most of the time women have spontaneous abortion which is the medical term for miscarriage.

If I can cut your belly open, rip it out of you, and it can live without aid, it sure as hell is a baby!!!

No foetus can live outside a body without medical help.

They stopped prolonging lives of premature foetus in the Netherlands now because of mental disability.

You are too emotional about the subject and I guess that is because your range of knowledge about the subject isn't broad. I know you once said your mother was going to abort you. Did she ever explain the circumstances?

Almost one in 10 babies, about 26,000, are born prematurely every year in Australia. Roughly 5,000 of these babies are born very early before 32 weeks. Very premature babies are three times more likely to develop disorders such as autism, ADHD or anxiety and over half will have a developmental impairment.

One in ten is a shocking statistic. I never knew it was that bad.

I can't have children after my only son was born either and I certainly don't hate other women for aborting except one who was Catholic and wouldn't use contraception because nuns told her the pill causes strokes...I don't hate her I am just disgusted he wouldn't use a condom. No they rather use free abortion which is morally wrong in everyway.... That is only person I know.

Cas, 3rd trimester abortion is completely unnecessary. I told liberals and pro abortion people for years, "if you dont agree to outlaw 3rd tri abortion, you'll lose" and they did. Third tri babies are over 95% viable outside the mother and if they're 8 months, they are nearly 100% viable.

Emotional? Maybe, but murder, which abortion after 7 months surely is, elicits an emotional response. Still, medicine shows it to be unnecessary.

It was my grandma who said she wanted to take my mom for a scrape. Granny already had 2 daughters get knocked up by bums and she didnt want a 3rd.

We have a cut off for abortion at 20 weeks in Australia (or it might be 22) but I am thinking of a friend of mine daughter whose baby died inside her and before they removed it it had been dead for six weeks.

I cannot imagine her anguish she used to come church meetings with dead baby inside her. It was her first baby too... Also a neighbours sister had a PERFECT looking little baby girl full term who died because she didn't have a brain... She is buried near my son... She died as soon as she was born.

I am actually crying and keeping the stories to myself while I write this because I too would love the world to be healthy happy and prosperous and every pregnancy to thrive but in reality it doesn't happen that way and women need a safe place for their pregnancies gone wrong in places specialising their care.

You have two conjoined twins in the USA... Two heads, one body.. what would you do to them at 7 months?

There is no way I would want to give birth to a two headed child. Sometimes death is less cruel than life.

What do you think?

What do you think?

First off, everything I've said, I apply to NORMAL pregnancies.
Second, no matter what these radical asshats say, even Floridas anti abortion laws dont interfere with the removal of a dead fetus. My daughter knows someone who's had 2 or 3 miscarriages where leftovers had to be removed surgically. No Problemo!

Third, any woman who doesnt get treatment for a dead baby has a medical malpractice suit. Doctors HAVE TO BY LAW intervene to save the mothers life. Having said that, people die from medical malpractice all the time. Some retard doctor mistook a liver for s spleen he was supposed to remove and of course the guy bled to death on the OR table.

Now onto the unusual cases:

I believe downs can be tested for in the first trimester along with multiple other disorders.
A hydrocephalic baby can be delivered normally in some cases, caesarean in others. There's no need to crush its skull and cut its spinal cord like they do in a partial birth.
All other non viable pregnancies can be induced and delivered normally.

The vitamix and vacuum type abortions for those are unnecessary.

If someone hasnt figured it out by 4 or 5 months, too bad. As far as rape and incest, if a 12yo comes in 6 or 7 months pregnant from her dad and the kid is normal, they should deliver it ASAP and give it proper care. Abortion shouldnt be an option.

We can dissect down to the months where it gets dicey but there are clear cases where an abortion should never be acceptable. Those are the cases that should be a red line in the sand.

if you mix the ingredients and put it in the oven, you're baking a cake.... if you pull it out too soon, you have a raw cake.... you leave it too long, its a burnt cake.... but nobody denies it meets the criteria for being a cake.... you only argue babies because of the need for moral justification.... what if you were in a coma? you couldn't survive without medical intervention.... does someone have the unconditional right to pull your plug? the right to life is what every other right depends on.... if you have a provisional "right to life" then all your other rights are equally conditional....

i think there ARE situations that deserve (or in some cases demand) abortion.... rape, incest, health and safety of mother, etc.... but i don't agree with unregulated abortion....

I know an aboriginal lady who died because she had an ectopic pregnancy.. I know another lady who had an  un-fertilised egg  develop who had to have it scraped out. That was bizarre.

Imo it's nones men's business and should stay out it... just supportive ... it's between women and their doctors.

My sisters 5th child last year was born with Downs. She is really well developed because she has PLENTY of stimulation...I think she is going to be OK. MY NIECE never got checked for Downs. That was silly.
