Putting aside just how utterly mad it is to cancel surgery because of a little snow for a minute. A person gets mentally and physically prepared for surgery. Delays are a big let down.

Believe me, this is some bullshit lol. I had all my cleaning done, laundry done, menu done and food ready to go, hair and nails done lulz. I "thought" they would do it after lunch time sometime, since they said diabetics and such go first, so I lined up rides around then, then they dropped that 6am shit on me lol, and then canceled.

Oh well, got some music events I can go to if its a few more weeks lol. BUT, if they schedule it next week, that's gonna fuck me for Christmas meal preparation. Cause they told me 2 weeks on crutches, so I'll prolly still be on them.

I was craving eating Chinese lol, and I watched a Kung Fu flick lol, Iron Monkey.

I ordered a lot of Kung Fu flicks on dvd lol, for viewing in my down time after surgery.

Im a planner, so yeah, it pissed me off when all my plans got scrapped. BUT, Im use to plans never going the way they should lol, so I'll adjust and make other plans lol. I'll find out tomorrow on a new date, and if they try that "right before Christmas" shit, I'll ask when the next date is, fuck 'em. I'll for sure keep y'all up to date lol.

Dang good movie. I've seen it before, but hadn't owned it til now.

I've got like 500 DVDs 

I turned off my cable box 13 years ago, and turned off my only streaming service over 5 years ago. I only buy DVD's, and Blu Ray lol. I save a lot of money this way, and can watch whatever I want, when I want, without ads. A lot of the DVDs I get are only $5, sometimes with more than one movie in the pack.

I also still have my VHS player, and its hooked up

At least in the US or Singapore you can do that. In Canada, you have no say over when surgery happens. If you get it at all it is when they schedule you.

Whats going on? Why do you need surgery?

  I had a surgery canceled on me once. It was a PCNL. I had to have a tube inserted into my kidney through my back. It was miserable. I had already waited for nearly 3 months for them to organize it since it involved like 4 departments and was a 4 to 6 hour surgery.

I had everything handledand rides lined up and childcare arranged..chores and groceries done...i was ready for a few days in the hospital and they just pushed it back a few days. Threw everything out of order. I almost didnt have childcare as my friend who was handling that took almost a week off work just to help me and look after my kiddo.

And then i had to cancel the removal sugery because i got norovirus. So i was vomiting for two days with a tube sticking out of my back. I had to have that tube in for an extra week.  I could hardly hold down any of my medication so they gave me an anti nausea med to shove up my ass.

Good times lol.

 Its a massive pain in the ass when surgeries get moved around but like Shen said, at least you are not in Canada. Ive seen people come here to Michigan from Canada just to get their cancer treaments on time and their dialysis on time. Thats only people with money who get to do that.  Everyone else in Canada just has to wait and hope they dont die.

I read that twenty thousand people in Canada died waiting for surgery so far this year. That does not include people dying in emergency rooms or waiting to see a specialist. Our health care system is in palliative care.
