Everyone wants to be a social justice warrior. I know if I worked for someone and my actions caused a loss in revenue, my ass would be fired immediately.
I've learned that if someone asks you a really stupid question and you reply by telling them what time it is, they'll leave you alone

Anyone besides a multi millionaire athlete would have their employment terminated for that reason..

Kiebers, I believe you are a NFL fan?

If so, has this bringing politics into games affected your viewing habits?

kiebers

I never have been a huge fan. It has affected it a little. Less time looking at the nfl website for scores. I never really watch the game. I tend to listen. Now the only one I will pay even a little attention to is the Texans. Good people on the Texans. One of them, JJ Watt, broke his leg and is out for another season. He is one of the best in the nfl and I really do feel bad for him. He has class....

I thought you were as much of a NFL supporter as Azhya is NHL..

What sport is your favourite?

kiebers

I am not heavily into any sport. I only pay attention to my home town teams but still not that much. I keep up just enough to be able to conversate with my wife.  I may have jerseys and hats but I didn't buy them and I rarely wear them. I pay attention to some of the players and that is about it.

If I picked a fav it would probably be baseball....

I'm like that too kiebers..

I follow the Calgary Flames a little bit so I too can converse with friends and coworkers.

Football was the only sport I watched regularly, but with all the SJW nonsense I have since dropped it.  My team sucks anyway.  Good year to stop watching.

I can understand that Wazzup.

@realAzhyaAryola

If I were Kaepernick, I would question others who are kneeling with me. What are they kneeling for exactly? Are they supporting my original protest or just wanting publicity and a reason to mushroom this protest I started to fuel their own agendas which are not part of mine?

As an observer, I think others have used this opportunity to fuel their own agendas and they have no real intention to have intelligent discourse to arrive at solutions but to simply cause discord and trouble.

If Kaepernick was truly genuine in his protest, he should show some follow through. He should inquire what is being done about the matter he was protesting against. If he was protesting about white cop on black man crime, that is not crime. That is a cop stopping a criminal from either hurting him, the cop, or others. Why doesn't he, Kaepernick, protest black on black crime as well then? What about that issue? Where's the outrage for that?

Sometimes, my comments have a touch of humor, often tongue-in-cheek, so don\'t take it so seriously.

I just want sports to be sports. There is enough political drama outside of sports, why taint the sports arena with it as well?

That's exactly how I feel Azhya.

the former 49ers quarterback has filed a grievance against the NFL that alleges he is being illegally kept out of the league.
So I guess it wasn't enough for him to ruin the NFL, now they have to pay him a reward for ruining it.

And he is blaming Trump  :laugh3:

Kaepernick blames Trump for NFL collusion against him

TJ Brown is an American so I guess he can do what he wants in his own country.

But it's noteworthy that Canadian PK Subban didn't try the same stunt.

Nor did fellow Canadian Sidney Crosby say anything about the White House visit.

I wouldn't say anything either if I were those two because it's not their country

Quote from: "Fashionista"The NHL has experienced it's first protest.

Tampa Bay Lightning forward J.T. Brown raises fist during national anthem

Tampa Bay Lightning forward J.T. Brown raised his right fist during the playing of the national anthem before the team's first road game of the season.

The 27-year-old Brown, who was scratched for Tampa Bay's season-opening win against Florida, remained standing throughout the anthem Saturday night. Brown, one of approximately 30 black players in the NHL, used the same protest before a preseason game against the Panthers last month.

QuoteEtue was forced to "apologize" for the post three days later.

On Friday, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder issued a statement announcing that Etue will lose five days of pay as punishment for her egregious sin (and will have to work them).

"Colonel Etue posted something on social media that was inappropriate. ... The colonel has served honorably as an enlisted trooper for 30 years, and I hope we can come together as Michiganders to move forward and find common ground, rather than rehash past mistakes," said the (FAKE) Republican governor.

Even as the Michigan State Police end non-serious-crime high-speed pursuits in Detroit, Snyder announced that he and his administration are also developing "cultural awareness and sensitivity training guidelines" for all government departments as well as policies for state employees on the private use of social media.

Typical double standard--

Black football players have a right to free speech, white police women do not.  Disgusting.
