You are taking it slow..

Do you build muscle?

How much do you benchpress?

Lifting tightens you up.

Can you run?

The health professionals I've talked to about this have convinced me that only losing 1 to 2 lbs a week is the best way to keep the weight off and not develop loose skin, which has happened when I went at it full force and lost around 10 lbs a week on more than one occasion.

Yes, I find it's not really as much of a challenge just to build muscle mass as it is to develop and maintain lean muscle mass. Sometimes ketosis wastes away my muscles, but I seem to be able to maintain and build upon my strength levels over time.

I have one of those scales that gives you an estimate of how much fat, muscle and water weight is in your body when you step on it barefoot. The fat had ranged from 28% to 8%, which can be difficult to believe... but I have no reason to lie about it.

Yes, I know firsthand how lifting weights can affect my physique. I think it's a better solution for those who are attempting to put on weight. Cardio is much better at maintaining and developing a leaner and tighter body with a high level of endurance... if that's what you're going for.

Yes, I can run When I was at 310 lbs I ran a mile in 13:27. It's not a great time, but it was my first attempt at running continuously since high school.

The gym I go to only has two benches set up with free weight barbells (one is in a cage, and you practically have to make reservations to use it)), and it's one of the "attractions" that seems to always have someone using it, so I haven't used it in a long time. On a few different machines designed to work the upper body, I can do more than half of the rack, but it varies greatly and it wasn't something I was actively pursuing for bragging rights.

On a rowing machine connected to a pulley with a rack of plates I can do the whole thing, which is 235 lbs for a set of 10. On an inclined bench press machine I can do at least 200 lbs for a set of 10, but I haven't tried for maximum weight on it, and on an over head press machine I really don't look at the weight much because it's something I do while I'm waiting to use another machine, but I'd say I can do at least 170 lbs for a set of 10.

When I do concentrate on strength training, I use a lesser amount of weight for 3 to 4 sets of 8 to 10 reps.

If you lose that much weight on a fat burning diet and a training routine, you are gonna get a flabby gut.

I dont think you can have a very lean body.. You are built like a gorilla.

A mile is just 1,6kliks..

You gotta run atleast 2,7kliks in 12mins.

Nice.. Long sets build up stamina.

I dont go for max.. I just do 20-30 sets with 100kg.

Better not to over push yourself so that the training doesnt start to taste like shit.

I think you're quite a bit taller than I am, but often whenever I hear about any guy who weighs even 300 lbs they tend to have a shape that resembles a pear.

I think the only part of my gut that currently looks flabby doesn't stick out much. It's supposed to be the most difficult area to tone, but I think I can work it away in under 6 months.

I think I would have to lose some significant muscle mass to attain a lanky body, but I think I could do it if I really wanted to based on how much I've already lost. This morning I weigh 301.8 lbs.

2.7km is 1.6 miles. I don't think I could have run that in 12 minutes even when I weighed 160 lbs. I can look into seeing how much faster I can run that distance when I get to 275 lbs.

It sounds like you're at least as strong as I am, but probably stronger. I think I might get temporarily weaker if I lose too much weight too fast (due to ketosis). When I get nearer to my target weight of 250 lbs I plan to work on increasing endurance and speed more than strength.

Do you ever try to do push ups, chin ups, or dips? I used to do them as a teenager. I was able to do about 60 push ups, 17 chin ups, and 12 dips back then. I think it would be exponentially more difficult after getting past the 200 lb mark. Right now I'm doing girly push ups and planks until I can better hold up my frame.

What other kind of exercises do you do?

300 lbs is not that much for me.. I have my abs showing and the waist/shoulder ratio is correct.

You dont have that swimmers body type... More bulky type.

Its normal for a guy to run 2,7km in 12mins..

3km is the limit for cops and soldiers.

Chicks can run 2,3km in 12mins.

What do you eat?

I can do push ups indefinately so I get bored.. And they are not really that effective.

I do chin ups and dips.

You probably dont remember how to use all your muscles..

You should do real push ups.. You'll notice approvement in a short time.

I have my routine..

Warm up with a rowing machine.

Lat pulldown.

Thighs.

Leg press.

Abs.

Back.

Biceps.

Bench press.

Sides.

Repeat, repeat, repeat... And then stretching.

I also punch the boxing bag.

I jog almost everyday and ride a bicycle.
