Smokers dont need "smoke breaks".

They can smoke during the normal break.

If they have some habit of smoking every hour or half an hour, they just need to change their habit.

Theres no withdrawals.

You're right. Why should smokers get more breaks.

Smokers take the same breaks as non-smokers...they dont take extra smoke breaks.  But, what about some of the non-smokers who take too long of breaks cause they are constantly flapping their jaws? Coming back to work 10-20 min later after break cause they just to stop and chat with someone about their weekend or some other nonsense conversation...

I think this company means people who go outside several times  per day outside of regularly scheduled breaks to smoke..

If people are coming back to work ten-twenty minutes on a regular basis, that is grounds for dismissal.

That is a separate issue that will be dealt with by employers pdq. Smokers do take more breaks and longer ones than non smokers.

I see that at my husband's  shop.

At our yard office in Winnipeg you see the smokers going outside every 90 minutes for a cancer stick. The company tolerates it for some strange reason.
