I changed my mind, I will say one thing; the National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations is a very powerful position in Canada.

It's a toss up if Natives or Muslims are the favourites of progs. Indians have received a lot of money from American progs to block resource development that are in the national interest. And it's worked.

Natives are a lot like America's blacks, Both, Unlike Muslims , actually have a history of mistreatment, but its mostly about  things done long ago.   UnfortunatelyNow that narrative is being used for guilt based blackmail and among some- a desire for revenge.



At least there's some historical basis for casting Natives as victims, but Muslims? That is sheer trickery.

The Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development should be abolished and replaced with something transparent that encourages the equality and well being of Indigenous Canadians. And discourages corrupt Aboriginal leaders and white civil servants from living like kings off of the bloated government ministry.

BTW to explain the green portion--all of these can either be treated as victims or oppressors depending on the situation--



If Jews are talking antisemiitsim against any white group of people they are a victim group, However, Jews in Israel and those who support israel are oppressors, because of course Muslims are more important than Jews.

If white women are at oldds with white men then they are victioms, if they are at odds with men of color or women of color then they are oppressors.

Likewise if Asians are at odds with whites, then asians are victims, but if Asians are high achievers who are in the way of more Hispanics and blacks going to Universities then they are treated as oppressors.

That green area is a tricky one isn't it. Most Asians see themselves as victims, but believe society has lumped them in with whites. I am talking about the United States and the blatant discrimination against East Asians applying to university.

I just looked into it and saw that canada has no such practices in their Universities.  Although in hiring they have something called "employment equity" (ours is called affirmative action and Britains is called "positive action")--which

"requires employers to engage in proactive employment practices to increase the representation of four designated groups: women, people with disabilities, Aboriginal peoples, and visible minorities."



As to Asians being put in the oppressor category--It was mostly in the early 90s but I remember there was a big rift in the US between Korean store owners and blacks, as this piece on the LA riots shows--

The nearly weeklong, widespread rioting killed more than 50 people, injured more than 1,000 people and caused approximately $1 billion in damage, about half of which was sustained by Korean-owned businesses. Long-simmering cultural clashes between immigrant Korean business owners and predominately African-American customers spilled over with the acquittals.

In New York around the same Time Al Sharpton and other black leaders were staging boycotts of New Yorks Korean businesses.

Employment equity in Canada is meaningless since filling out that section on applications is voluntary and only with big employers..



But, I have seen job opportunities and paid training programs with federal government agencies that are available to Aboriginals only.
