yes.  there was also once a time where both poilitical parties wanted border security.  Even in 2008 democrats called for border security.  Now they have gone all in on illegal aliens.

All it does is postpone the fight.  Just yesterday Schumer said that he will not give any money for the wall in exchange for DACA.  Today trump said there won;t be any DACA then.



The only way Trump should ever give them DACA is in exchange for full wall funding, border security funds, no more lottery immigration and no more chain family migration. Even then I think its doubtful.  DACA gives the dems nearly a million voters.  



Better to end the filibuster on budgets and just have the repubs vote to fund what Trump wants and to hell with the democrats.  The repubs are the majority party, they should start acting like it.

I truly believe that any 'elected' official doesn't have quite as much 'power' as we think, and is instead being 'guided' by 'behind the scenes' forces, whoever they may be...

So, what's stopping the GOP?

the Repubs are cowards, Trump is trying to help them become real men, but its a difficult task.



More specifically Trump has asked McConnell to get rid of the filibuster on spending, this would make it way harder to shut the government down.  But Mcconnell won't do it.  Even though he got rid of the filibuster for judges.  Either McConnell is afraid it will look bad and he'll get negative press and/or he is worried the dems will come to power and the repubs will have no filibuster to stop them.

Okay, so McConnell thinks the Dems will take the senate back. The minority party does not want to surrender the filibuster tool.
