Who made the rule that we can't eat certain delicious pets?

Oh the horror. Somebody decided that pigs make better meals than pets and the Canadian SPCA is crying crocodile tears because a family had a feast instead of a nuisance freeloader.

Good on em.

Good on em.

I read a headline about this.

I wonder how they prepared Molly. Maybe Vietnamese pork rolls or just a nice bacon wrapped set of roasts and some Molly spare ribs. Just thinking about it is making me hungry for pork.

I think this is why the BC SPCA is so upset.

Although Molly's owner was vetted by the SPCA — and signed a contract specifically stating that the pet couldn't be killed or consumed

It wasn't a legally binding contract and the owner obviously was hungry.

Oh, I know it wasn't legally binding, but they gave their word.

Its the food chain I eatz what I wants and I kill what I eats..NOM NOM

Berry Sweet

It's not funny and it's disgusting.   I read they claimed the pig was being violent twords the dog so they put the pig down...I mean seriously, who injects an animal with euthanasia and then eats it?  There's a chemical called barbiturate that spreads thru it's entire body, and the idiots want to eat that?

Who knows what other injections or medications this pig has had.

Frood

They would know what if anything was in the pig's system. It's not disgusting, it's the circle of life.
Blahhhhhh...

They willingly admitted they had the pig put down, euthanized and then ate it.  You don't eat that kinda stuff.

I can see what you are saying Brick...ive been following along but I don't want to get involved with that kind of madness.  Waste of my time.

Frood

Bricktop quakes at the thought of killing wild animals for meat. Berry has issues with domesticated animals being slaughtered for meat, and just plain old meat in general. Yet both eat animal products.

Crazy.
Blahhhhhh...

Bricktop

So, where have I said I do not eat meat, nor do I accept farming domestic animals for food?

You really aren't very bright, are you?
