FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) — People in one north Fort Worth neighborhood woke up Thursday morning to several signs with a head-scratching message on them.



The signs were posted up and down Waverly Lane on lamp posts and other pieces of public property and read "It's okay to be white."



The origin of the signs and the intended meaning of the words are a mystery, but some neighbors were quick to react and took them down because some perceived them to be discriminatory. (really? why?)



At this point, no one knows if the signs were meant as a prank or something more serious. (uh oh, cue spooky music)



Councilman Cary Moon, who represents the district, said this all comes on the heels of a report sent to council members about other anti-immigrant and discriminatory signs and banners placed in other parts of the city.



"I condemn any type of literature sign that is posted that may be offensive to some folks," Moon said. ( "its okay to be white" is offensive?)



By lunchtime Thursday, all of the signs were taken down, but Moon advised neighbors who see more of the same to call police immediately so they can investigate. (investigate what?)



He said people taking them down themselves might interfere with investigations and collection of evidence. (Evidence of what? Is saying "its okay to be a white" a crime now?)

I can understand if they don't want any signs of any kind on their light posts.  But if not, then these should be fair game.  It's really amazing to watch them react like something sinister and evil happened that these signs were put up.

Yep their reaction was exactly what was expected and hoped for-- that the loony left would show their true feelings about whites and they did.  



I think that  4chan, or whoever, ought to do one more thing that would really prove the double standard.  And that is-put up signs its okay to be black, its okay to be Hispanic, Asian, Indian etc and also of course okay to be white-- then what will the reaction be?  Will they single out the whites only, or will they finally give in?



I think that would be an interesting experiment.

I agree about foreign aid being a waste. But, most people who claim refugee status in the West are economic migrants trying who don't want to wait in line like legit immigrants.
