IMO if the cops decide to go after Smollett this would be a good possible way to do it--



If there's enough evidence (and there probably is) charge these Nigerian guys with the crime, and then give them leniency if they confess and admit Smollett orchestrated the whole thing.  We'll see.

The latest is the two Nigerians have been arrested and the cops have subpoenaed the phone Records Smollett refused to give them.



the police know the two brothers are friends/associates of Smollett.

Chicago cops said both suspects "have a relationship" with Smollett. Their lawyer, Gloria Schmidt, said the brothers have worked on Smollett's hit Fox drama and that the three of them are gym buddies who worked out together.  Smollett is one of the brothers' nearly 19,000 followers on their joint Instagram account, which features photos of the duo pumping iron.

One of the brothers was previously accused and plead guilty to committing a violent crime.

one of the Osundairo brothers arrested was charged with attempted murder in 2011, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Friday.

The unidentified sibling eventually reached a plea deal in the Chicago stabbing, copping to aggravated battery, and received two years probation.

Although from the beginning I have wondered-- even if the police had ironclad proof this was staged, would they sweep the whole thing under the rug?  After all, smollett is a gay, black, celeb, its hard to get higher on the leftist VIP ladder than that, and Chicago is run by progtards.  I guess we'll find out

The lawyer for the 2 men who were arrested and then released in connection with the alleged attack on Jussie Smollett says the new evidence that has changed this case is something her clients told cops.



Attorney Gloria Schmidt was at the Chicago police station Friday night, after her clients, Ola and Abel Osundairo, were released from custody. Schmidt said the "new evidence" that triggered the release of her clients was something they knew and presumably told cops.



Our photog asked Schmidt flat out if the "attack" was staged, and she answered obliquely, saying there were moving parts and she didn't want to speculate.



And, something else interesting ... she wouldn't answer why her clients went to Nigeria the day of the alleged attack, but added it was a "great question."



She said she didn't want to speak for her clients because they had a story to tell "when the time is right." That clearly sounds like they have inside information about what went down at Jussie's apartment building.

Well if they weren't involved they wouldn't have "key evidence".  So they must have been involved.  



And since they were involved in it, and not charged, they must have spilled the beans and said Smollett orchestrated the whole thing.  I can't think of anything else it could possibly be.

Chicago (CNN)Two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation told CNN that Chicago Police believe Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate the assault.



The brothers, who were arrested Wednesday, were released without charges Friday after Chicago police cited the discovery of "new evidence." The sources told CNN that the two men are now cooperating fully with law enforcement.

Smollett told authorities he was attacked early January 29 by two men who were "yelling out racial and homophobic slurs." He said one attacker put a rope around his neck and poured an unknown chemical substance on him.



"It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim or a Mexican or someone black I feel like the doubters would have supported me a lot much more," Smollett said. "And that says a lot about the place where we are as a country right now."

Unfortunately the worst they can probably charge him with is filing a false police report. Which probably doesn't carry much of penalty (hopefully lots of fines) I'd like to see the CPD sue him for all the man hours he made them waste.



I am going to enjoy watching Empire fire him (they better).  He is forever disgraced. good.
