They were introduced into Australia. Here they are prey as often as they predators pf mice. Coyotes, badgers, wolverines, bobcats, lynx, cougars, bears and even eagles eat foxes. They wouldn't have to look over their shoulders as much in Australia. Snakes perhaps.

Bricktop

Nah, they're pretty much safe as houses.

There are no predators on dry land that would go for a fox.

Lace monitors would have a crack....
Blahhhhhh...

Odinson

We got many foxes here.

I've tried to take a picture but they have fled before I could.

They are safe here because there is no hunting this close to settlement.

They seem more timid than coyotes, which can be very bold..

Shen was lucky to get pictures.

Foxes tend to be shy in most parts of Canada.

They are also shy and reclusive here...yet the still live in close vicinity with humans. They are often seen in the metropolitan area near pockets of open spaces such as airports, preserved parks and conservation bushland (such as that we live in).

Years ago, an attempt to eradicate foxes in Australia implemented baited meat in areas they frequent.

The meat killed more domestic dogs than foxes and it was discontinued.

Now we just learn to live with them.

Domestic dogs sometimes kill foxes.

I get red foxes around the farm. I like them because they kill as many if not more mice than feral cats. They won't attack big jackrabbits which are really hares and not rabbits. Jackrabbits can break their jaws with a kick.

Empty shelves at Winners. Men's and women's shoes on the same shelf and it's still empty.

Same thing happening here for the same reasons I guess. Supply lines can't handle the load.

I've noticed Walmart and Costco using creative merchandising to make it look like their displays look fuller than they actually are.
