I thought Southern Ontario had lots of blue jays and cardinals..

That's true. While they are not spotted too often, they are there ... beautiful birds .. Cardinals quite rare but there

I thought blue jays were fairly common in Southern Ontario..

I've only seen a few blue jays in Alberta..

They're so beautiful and large birds..

I've never seen a cardinal before.

There are a few blue jays in Southern Alberta, but no cardinals.

We seem to get the opposite, cardinals seem more common than blue jays, or could be their red colour is just more easy to notice.

While pidgeys being the best parents in the world and love to nestle in man made structures fills me with joy, lol.

I saw one cardinal last summer in Barrie. Blue jays are around, but they are timid.
