An advantage to physical books (beside being physical) is that you own them and don't merely have access to them.  No electricity or app

or internet required.

They are aesthetically pleasing too.

I shall name it The Ghost of Mantis Future.

I spotted it again a couple of times today.

I guess it's moved in.

I haven't let it get on my hand yet...

...first I want it to get used to me being close without bothering it.

It keeps an eye on me but it doesn't seem particularly afraid and doesn't run.

My kid says that the "new book smell" is addicting

I love my books.  In fact, I cherish them.

I like reading and I've encouraged my children to read..

But, we've switched to e books.

I can read them in the dark without keeping anyone up with a bright lamp.  Very useful.

They take up less space....many advantages.

I have access to many digital books too.  But if I really loved a book I'd buy it and welcome it into my 'space'.  Books deserve space  because they give us time.  You guys just don't understand!   Every one of my books is cherished and they can have all the space and light they require!!

I love the fact that if someone recommends a particular book, I can download it within a minute. I actually downloaded Mein Kampt for educational purposes for just over a dollar. My cheapest download to date. Apparently the author was some delusional dictator in past history. There's a lot of ramblings and disgruntlement with jewellery shop owners!

But the advantage of digital books is you can start reading one and throw it away if you think it sucks....
