Gaon, to answer your question, no, I don't live in Montreal anymore. My ex and I lived in that apartment for nearly 8 years. It was an awesome place. We broke up and I rode out the rest of the lease on my own (leases are yearly, for the most part, in Quebec). I have more pics of the place on my other device or online somewhere. I'll try to find them.

Rent was $1,318/month (1 bedroom) + utilities.

That's about what a two bedroom, two bath condo with underground parking would cost in Calgary.

My brother is paying almost $4000 a month for a 1 bedroom with underground parking in downtown Seattle.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

I dont think so lol. They do spend, but I dont think they splurge or brag.

His story is one of those rags to riches ones. He went out there, broke, old piece of shit car that was falling apart. His wife cheated, they divorced, and then he focused on himself and his schooling. Met his current partner, remarried, and his been on the up since.

I remember you saying he is a leftist. That sounds like the stuff conservatives are made of. I guess living in Seattle turned him into a fake twelve dollar latte slurping socialist.

It did change him, he does like his lattes, and he has told me he is a socialist lol. BUT, I believe he is like most socialists, where he talks the talk, but doesnt want to be near those poorer communities. At least thats the vibe I get these days.

I  don't  know if real socialists actually exist anymore. Same with small conservatives. Both ideologies have been taken over by top down progressives.

I guess IHJ is kind of a socialist. He says he is anyway.
