Bricktop

It's a cockatoo.

In a cage.

 :sneaky2:

Did you know that if you stepped into any pet shop here, you would not find a single caged bird?

People keep tropical birds as pets here and most of them take very good care of them..

I know I will when I get a parrot..

And I find it difficult to believe budgies and cockatiels are flying around freely in pet stores in Australia.

Bricktop

I must correct myself. It's big birds you won't see in cages.

You're right about budgies. I'm not sure about cockatiels.

I'm sure they are in cages in stores anyway..

When they are sold, cage doors are probably open all the time.

Birds shouldn't be in cages!!!!

Why don't you guys keep bears in cages? Or seals? Or eagles?

Because we keep parrots in our cages.

Unlike certain countries, we don't sell those here.

Predators of golden pheasants could spot them a mile away.

That's fine, because I wasn't planning on keeping one of those animals in a cage with an open door in my living room.
