The digital age has created powerful but inept corporate giants that are changing the demographics of our society.



Rampant technology is not serving us as well as we'd like, and as Facebook demonstrates, popular technology in the hands of a village idiot is fraught with danger. Our homes are highly regulated. Our roads are highly regulated. The way wealth is created and managed is highly regulated. But there seems precious little government concern at the industry of collecting information about us all.

What is needed is to break the monopolies of these digital parasites. There's nothing particularly advanced about Facebook...why aren't there alternatives?



I don't use Google, as an example, because they sell your data for profit.

There's an Eastern European equivalent of Facebook called VK or something, not sure whether it has anything to do with Facebook but the layout is almost identical.
