You have less than a second to decide.

That long?

Were I called to that, he'd be dead.

He would be shot by the police anywhere.

I witnessed a couple of poorly dressed slobs in mixed camo and assorted blue collar workwear leap out of a ute, one with an AR15 and the other with a pump action shotgun proceed to aim their weapons and shout loudly get down! Get down! Get down! commands along a fence line awhile ago.

My first impression was that I was watching a pair of criminals rob someone.

Then a bunch of morbidly obese people with holstered sidearms on their belts poking out from underneath their vast muffin tops began piling out of a dozen converging well waxed cars, with clipboards and laptop bags over their disgusting bellies and underneath their massively flabby arms.

And I knew. I was right. Somebody refused to pay the State's ransom and all those pigs might wither away into a normal sized human beings with better ethics and rational thought processes for once if their food got away from the banquet table.

I recall making a wish that at least a few of the thieves got shot in the face.

Not a direct hit. Just a really degrading facial reconstruction attempt gone wrong. Because they deserved at least that. But alas, those disgusting eaters of civilization hobbled away on their portly legs scot free with the sounds of ching ching in their bank accounts and possible award ceremonies for being disgusting contagions on the human experience.

Quick test.

Is anyone in doubt about these wretched wrecks of human beings to which I refer but would prefer to watch being eaten alive by giant snakes?

Never bring a pipe to a gun fight

"If the police saw something in his hand, tell him 'drop it - hold your hand up,'" his mother, Lorna Vassell, said during the vigil-turned-protest.

Witness Jacccpot Hinds told CBS News: "I seen the police car [come] in, police jump out and pop, pop, pop, pop".

"They didn't say 'freeze,' 'stop,' do anything, 'put your hands up,' nothing. Straight gunfire come out the gun."[/quote]

A good reporter would have found out what police training says to do and included it in the story.  If you are a cop, do you issue a warning when someone points what looks like a gun at you, or do you just fire?

QuoteAccording to police, Vassell had 23 prior arrests, including several violent incidents.  He had also been issued 120 police summonses...

So, does their training say to  shoot in that type of situation?

Couldn't find one for New york, where the shooting occurred, but I found one for Cleveland

1.officers should draw their weapons and command the suspect to drop their gun and get on the ground.

2.If the suspect points a gun at someone, or reaches for a gun in a way that indicates they're going to shoot, police are allowed to fire.

I think this picture fits #1

and this #2

It makes perfect sense, With #2 shouting a warning is bad idea,  your bound to have a face full of lead long before you can finish saying "freeze reach for the sky"

of course an investigation should and will occur.  But I think unless something odd happen,s they will find that this guy pointed what looked like a gun at the cops, and they fired without warning, because that is what they were trained to do.  Unfortunately most of the black community seems to think cops are guilty when a black person gets shot, no matter what the circumstances.  Although IMO the media is more to blame than they are.

You can't say that for sure. The chambers you can see aren't loaded. There could be one in the top and one in the bottom.

Quick! Tell us all how you can tell if it's a single or double action revolver.

Fuckwit.

Angry White Male

You point a weapon that looks like a gun at a cop, you get shot.  Easy as that.  Police assisted suicide, as had already been mentioned.

Niggers will always cry about how their little Dindu was just on his way to peacefully enroll at the local college, when he was shot for no reason by the evil White Man.  We've seen this enough to know the truth, time and time again.

And as a side note, in Canada, the public and the police must follow the same rules when it comes to deadly force.  Many do not know this...  A civilian and a cop are ruled under the exact same laws when deadly force is unfortunately the outcome.  Only difference is, is that the Police Act enables Cops to be armed almost everywhere, whereas civilians are somewhat limited.  Nonetheless, the laws are the same.

Why do I need to discern the action?

I'd just shoot the fucker.
