Yeah, I said to myself, that bird has been sitting there for 10 minutes hardly moving, ( highly highly unusual) and then another bird came along, (obviously a parent) and they flew off together.

LOL i agree. They jump around like a fart in a bottle but this morning, that's a fledgling... it stayed still for 10 minutes until a flighty parent returned and off they went.

Categorised as a pest in SA. I cannot imagine what harm a pigeon can do to the environment.

Nothing, no harm at all. They're introduced and introduced cats likely catch them...



That stray cat we adopted has caught two doves and many rats since we have had him.



Losing the birds upset me naturally but my arguement with the anti cat people is, they do keep environments clean...



I understand feral cats need heavy heavy culls but if you do that you MUST heavily heavily cull the other introduced species too.





I think it's all too far gone. The only thing that will help is if they completely stop tearing up virgin bush right this second.



One thing on my bucket list is to see is cockateils in their natural habitat. Next winter hopefully.
