...in the name of entertainment.

Hollywood has churned out (and still does) some simply awful television serials that lead one to question what they must think of their audiences when they thought up these execrable piles of unfunny, illogical, pointless and fatuous wastes of air space.

I remember some of these life wasters.

Things haven't improved much, either.

I will add a rider....Australia has done no better. Just a lot fewer.

I really like watching foreign films.  The acting and actors are more refreshing to watch.  The American shit is good bit it's getting predictable and boring.

I liked the first Crocodile Dundee, it was entertaining

I liked the crocodile hunter too,  Especially the time when he let the spitting cobra spit in his face.   Not hard to believe he got killed by an animal.   RIP Steve Irwin.

Oh, that's FAR from the worst. There has been some putrid, cheap efforts.

The first Mad Max was barely superior to a home movie. But we have done a few good ones.

TV shows, however...I cannot think of one I'd waste time on.

The only one I saw was Steve Irwin's show.

Oh yeah Mad Max.  It was cheap looking even by 80s standards but it was a cool movie.  I really liked the post apocalyptic gang fights fought on vehicles instead of hand to hand.

Yes, the concept was great.

Many of those road chases and stunts were done on remote public roads without permits, because the producers had little money. Most, if not all of the vehicles were illegal on public roads as well.

They turned that out on a shoestring.

Australia has made the odd decent movie..."Breaker Morant", "Gallipoli", "Crocodile Dundee", and some others never released overseas but worth getting (Try finding "Kenny" for a good laugh).

But as for TV...absolute tripe. Every program.
