Trudeau's ... cult of diversity will divide us into little tribes,' Quebec MP says.

I agree with Max, but this could easily backfire and give Justin a majority next year.

The man who nearly bested Andrew Scheer in the last Conservative leadership race is condemning the Liberal approach to multiculturalism, warning "ever more" diversity is leading to the ghettoization of minorities and fostering a culture of government dependence.

Quebec Conservative MP Maxime Bernier sent a series of tweets Sunday taking aim at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for what he says is dangerous sloganeering about "diversity" that threatens to undermine Canada's social cohesion.

"Trudeau's extreme multiculturalism and cult of diversity will divide us into little tribes that have less and less in common, apart from their dependence on government in Ottawa. These tribes become political clienteles to be bought with taxpayers $ and special privileges," Bernier tweeted.

"Having people live among us who reject basic Western values such as freedom, equality, tolerance and openness doesn't make us strong. People who refuse to integrate into our society and want to live apart in their ghetto don't make our society strong."

Canada must allow all those fleeing persecution in this world unless they are white Christians and hopefully one day the non whites will be able to take over and do to the white people what they have done to them. South African has turned into such a wonderful place once the oppressors were overthrown.
I care, you pay

A wedge issue that Justin's reelection team is loving.

Too many immigrants and refugees.

I like Bernier better all the time.

Chuck Bronson

I saw this on the news earlier.  They're jumping all over him like he's a white supremacist, simply for questioning our immigration policies...  Not surprising at all.

Wazzzup

He sounds like he is a fighter and he cares about canada.  he'd have my vote, I wish we had more like him here.

BTW I wish him luck though, Sounds like he is going through what Laura ingraham just went through.   She just got called nazi and all sorts of other stuff for questioning immigration

The world seems to function on Lance logic--that if whites don't quietly submit to being ethnically cleansed through massive immigration that they are nazis.

Chuck Bronson

The fact of the matter is, most Canadians agree with him!  But yet, well...  you know how the story goes!

I saw on CBC he could  be kicked out of the Conservative Party..

He was previously kicked out of the shadow cabinet.

Seems like this is an important crossroad for canada.  Will the conservative party let people like Bernier speak? or will they be cowards and join the mob to help shut him up?

QuoteConservative MP Maxime Bernier is once again lambasting what he sees as "extreme multiculturalism" and political correctness as other senior Tories appear to be distancing themselves from his views.

Bernier took to Twitter Tuesday night and Wednesday morning to comment on a Winnipeg park recently named in honour of Pakistan's founder, as well as a possible new statutory holiday marking the shameful legacy of residential schools.

The comments come on the heels of earlier eyebrow-raising tweets in which the veteran Quebec MP accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of pushing "ever more diversity" that could divide Canadians into "little tribes that have less and less in common."

'Canada under extreme Liberal multiculturalism...'

On Tuesday, Bernier responded to a months-old post from Liberal MP Iqra Khalid, a backbencher best known as the sponsor of the M-103 motion condemning Islamophobia and all forms of religious discrimination. The motion became a flashpoint of debate last year.

Khalid tweeted in May to mark the inauguration of a Winnipeg park named after Pakistan founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

"Canada under extreme Liberal multiculturalism: While a statue of our country's founder is being removed in one city, a park was recently named after Pakistan's founder in another, in the presence of M103 Liberal MP sponsor," he wrote. "Pakistan independence from India led to 1M deaths."

Bernier was referencing the City of Victoria's recent move to take down a statue of Sir John A. Macdonald because of the role Canada's first prime minister played in establishing residential schools.

Though the step was taken as part of a reconciliation campaign with local Indigenous communities, Tory Leader Andrew Scheer said it was an example of political correctness being used to "erase history."

First of all, Max Bernier is absolutely right. But, he might and probably will end up getting Justin Trudeau reelected. If the Conservatives don't distance themselves from Bernier, it could cost them seats in vote rich Southern Ontario. If they throw him under the bus, it will cost them seats in rural Quebec.

Maxime Bernier appears to be doubling down on what he said.
