Scott reportedly referred to her opponent as "ching-chang" and "ching-chong" to voters outside polling precincts. (multiple times)

She also allegedly made other offensive comments, including telling one of Chang's campaign volunteers "You don't belong here" and "I want you out of my country."

Michigan state Rep. Bettie Cook Scott has come under fire after she hurled anti-Asian slurs at Rep. Stephanie Chang during the primary election last week.  (Michigan House Democrats)

In addition, Sean Gray, Chang's African-American husband, said Scott scolded him for marrying Chang.

Following the criticism, Scott released a statement apologizing for the remarks.

[So, WHY did you say it in the first place? and several times . Huh? ... And that's a fellow party member - What would she call an Asian form the other party???]

I remember on the Asian American forums, posters complaining of blatant, primitive racism from African Americans..

I have no idea how pervasive it is, but obviously some Asian Americans didn't appreciate it.

Remember the LA riots. Blacks burning and looting Korean owned businesses.

I do indeed.  My dad knew a business owner that had his restaurant, bar and noraebang looted and torched by an anarchist mob.
