I love how food producers charge double by merely adding the word "organic" in the product name, as if that is some kind of virtue.

Are there such things as "inorganic" dates? Or eggs? Or wheat?

The reality is these hippies ignore modern farming techniques that results in lower crop and produce yields, and so in order to make a profit they charge double for produce that is no better or worse than conventional primary production methods.

Once in a while we get free range chicken and eggs, and I notice a big difference in taste..

But, organic fruit, not at all.

Bricktop

Free range is different to "organic". Its a farming methodolgy.

However, I believe its commonly understood that free range produce is far superior in every way. I know I would not buy anything else.

Those poor animals that spend their lives in warehouse cages must suffer terribly. Battery farming must be outlawed.

7.6 billion people worldwide and counting. Factory farming is here to stay.

If you know of a better way of feeding that many mouths, please share it.

I grow, raise or shoot about half of our food. Actually, I don't hunt anymore, but my nephews give me wild game every year.

Depends on if you let the contents of the nut bag mix with your sultana and peach.
