I like his own version very much .. That said, my fav on it is   K D .. a special protégé of Cohen (and also of Orbison)



kd lang's performance of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" at the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame induction of Leonard Cohen in 2006.  Be sure to watch the entire performance.  

She is performing for / honoring Lenny

Oh hellz, I just got here and dunno whether to go with Cohen or lang, both of whom are personal faves.



I'll say this, kd is awesome doing duets.  Even moreso than Emmylou Harris, and I don't say that lightly.
