With the launch of Camille Paglia's new book this week, the Drudge Report has unearthed the heterodox feminist's 2016 discussion of feminism as the collapse of Western Civilization. In her discourse Paglia explains, "The period of the 1920s, 1930s: that to me is my favorite period in feminism because these women admired what men had done. There was no male bashing as became systemic to Second Wave feminism. It's an absolute poison that has spread worldwide."

The author of Sexual Personae later takes on the "neuroticism" endemic to modern feminism and how the movement's deconstruction of traditional culture bred the "new religion" of political correctness.

As the Left increasingly insists upon coddling women, abolishing due process, and even dabbling in cultic activism, Paglia's comments offer a refreshing perspective from as insightful a scholar of feminism as any. If Kanye West hasn't already caused your tumbler to overflow, crank the volume and take a listen below:

Here's a tidbit I picked up somewhere along the line:

See, if you're a woman, you've got sexual "rights." If you're gay, you've got sexual "rights."

If you're a heterosexual male? The only rights you've got are summarized by the Miranda warning: "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you"

Then they need to DO something, not sit on the sidelines and watch the rancid extremists control the female agenda.

But women have changed too, cc.

They're physically bigger & stronger than they used to be.

They're actually challenging men in a man's world & sometimes siceeding.

So many of today's women look & act like men, eh.

So they'vre losing or have lost much of their femininity.

And a good number of them are jes' men with veejayjays and boobs.

The feminine & genteel girl is fast disappearing & becomin an artifact of the past, another time eh.

I  watched this one..

Very interesting, but I think she's speaking  from a Western perspective..

Taiwanese and Chinese women have been working outside the home for a longer time than Western women.

Quote from: "Berry Sweet"Women deserve better.

The author is saying what they wan is the happiness they lost because they lost being part of a community..

I don't know if I agree or not, but  it's an interesting theory.

What a weird comment. Do you know what this thread is about? Of course you don't.

Statement was very short and could be taken many ways - I doubt it is negative as Berry is always very positive .. or it was result of a quick look and misinterpretation

I have heard this OP lady on several occasions before - a true "feminist who likes men", brutally honest about phonies  and slays those who "call themselves" feminists
