Don't pick them too green. They need to turn slightly yellow. You're eating the inner white flesh.

I'm busy pupping my bromeliads and potting on at home at the moment. I'm hoping to grab a few nice pics when the work is complete. There's a lot to go through. I have some really nice black specimens that I'm sure you'll love. Here's a taster...

My wife and I are retiring in Panama in less than two years. There are so many tropical plants we don't yet. Your pictures inspire me to learn a lot more tropical flora.

I picked up a gem of a tropical plant today... Philodendron goeldii (Finger leaf philodendron).

It has quite a unique leaf structure.
