Red states in the US are setting themselves up for lawsuits in the future as kids become adults and have deep regrets about what the state not only allowed them to do, but also encouraged it.

The government has continued to pump unprecedented amounts of money into the economy, but those policies appear to have disproportionately benefited large corporations, which are hoarding trillions in cash and investments while American families burn through their savings.

The IRA, infrastructure spending and CHIPS Act appeal to the affluent left. In reality, they make life more expensive for average Americans, make the US more less energy independent/more reliant on unrealible energy sources and transfer wealth from people in the middle to corporations that support the Dem party. Personally, I do not support the death penalty. But, advocates can point to Singapore as an example that it is a deterrent.

Trump is at least talking about fiscal discipline/trimming fat from federal spending. That will be up to congress and it has been a long time since any congress has been been prudent when it comes to spending.
