I just figured he is stuck in the Brawl Hall days forever and every woman there got the same insults. She's a whore. She's ugly and nasty and gross and still gets all the dick, she's poor and on welfare and does not work. Or works some very shitty job. And she's a terrible mother.

And all this generic crap was effective at BH with the women there who may have just had very low self esteem and hated themselves.  So Flynn is just stuck on that and has big pissy fits and devolves when it doesn't work now.

There genuinely were some pretty ordinary examples of women on Brawl Hall, that's the thing. At least by the time Flange showed up there was at least one mother that was a confirmed camwhore plying her trade from US military basse housing while her hubby was supposedly at work, another woman from Seattle who was a convicted felon (arms charges I believe), two (that I know of) that were actively catfishing members with pictures of their own daughters, one of whom whom was leaking details of her daughters via a male poster too young to know any better to leak via his posts so she'd have an excuse to blame it all on another member that no longer wanted to fuck her and have an excuse to spill the beans on him. And those are just the more obvious examples that spring to mind. There were others.

With so much low hanging fruit and flamers getting tired of the "more traffic equals better" ethic that Brawl Hall laboured under, I can forgive Flynn in part for barely getting out of first gear in the creativity stakes. Add to that the fact that Brawl Hall was never really a flame site to begin with (though often claimed otherwise) and you might see why Flynn's efforts are as pathetic as they are. You need a healthy amount of demonstration to follow in anyones example and the majority of examples that were set Flynn... while encouraged by the admin... weren't anything to write home about.

That's why so much of Flynn's effort misses the mark now. Take your own example; not exactly a Miss Goody Two-shoes, but certainly not given to engage in the kinds of activities as I've itemized above. With Flynn stuck in late mid to late stage Bawller necrosis, literally the only thing he has to fling at you is the same tired crap that was old when he picked it up a generation ago. None of it applies to you and the insistence that if it's repeated often enough it will barely works on those that barely know you, let alone those who have bothered to find out for themselves. There will of course be those that disagree, but nearly all of that number either have a personal ax to grind with you, were never about to fully appreciate what flaming was while it was being practiced... or both.

Not that it matters: this site is as much about flaming as BH was. The principle focus is elsewhere (porn redirects were BH's bread and butter as general discussion is TBC's) and whatever poor imitations that pass for flaming tend to get aggregated in subforums explicitly designated for such. Don't ask me what BF's principle focus is, I don't think it even has one. None of it holds a candle to what was going on pre-9/11 at Flame4Cash; if it were then people like Flynn might have had better and more varied material to grind into the dirt these past seventeen years or so.

Because I seriously doubt that clown's ability to ever have operated with anything approaching the level of creativity and wilyness required to generate his own material.

Roger Corman, the "King of the Bs" who helped turn out such low-budget classics as "Little Shop of Horrors" and "Attack of the Crab Monsters" and gave many of Hollywood's most famous actors and directors early breaks, has died. He was 98.

Corman died Thursday at his home in Santa Monica, California, according to a statement released Saturday by his wife and daughters.

"He was generous, open-hearted and kind to all those who knew him," the statement said. "When asked how he would like to be remembered, he said, 'I was a filmmaker, just that.'"

Starting in 1955, Corman helped create hundreds of B-movies as a producer and director, among them "Black Scorpion," "Bucket of Blood" and "Bloody Mama." A remarkable judge of talent, he hired such aspiring filmmakers as Francis Ford Coppola, Ron Howard, James Cameron and Martin Scorsese. In 2009, Corman received an honorary Academy Award.

"There are many constraints connected with working on a low budget, but at the same time there are certain opportunities," Corman said in a 2007 documentary about Val Lewton, the 1940s director of "Cat People" and other underground classics.

"You can gamble a little bit more. You can experiment. You have to find a more creative way to solve a problem or to present a concept," he said.

The roots of Hollywood's golden age in the 1970s can be found in Corman's films.
