Bernie Sanders is as phony as they get in Washington and that is saying something.

Not taking corporate donations, staying on message with M4A etc., and even though he never went for the throat just the fact that he was willing to run against Hillary went a long way toward giving people a sense of hope that the duopoly could be beaten.

Corporate media never stops pushing the idea that voters must choose between red shit or blue shit and here's a guy on team blue saying all the right things; of course he was going to get traction in a revolution-minded political cycle.

It's the people who still tried/try to put him on a pedestal after he utterly caved to the DNC who are deluded and cultish.
