Prime Minister Scott Morrison conceded defeat after an election on Saturday and the opposition Labor Party was set to end almost a decade of conservative rule, possibly with the support of pro-environment independents.

Partial results showed Morrison's Liberal-National coalition had been punished by voters in Western Australia and affluent urban seats in particular.

"Tonight, I have spoken to the Leader of the Opposition and the incoming Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese. And I've congratulated him on his election victory this evening," Morrison said, stepping down as leader of his party.

Labor had yet to reach the 76 of the 151 lower house seats required to form a government alone. Final results could take time as counting of a record number of postal votes is completed.

A strong showing by the Greens and a of group of so-called "teal independents," who campaigned on policies of integrity, equality and tackling climate change, means the makeup of the new parliament looks set to be much less climate-skeptic than the one that supported Morrison's pro-coal mining administration.

https://capforcanada.com/how-media-transferred-conservatives-from-good-citizens-to-racist-thugs/">Believe it or not, there was a time when being a conservative in Canada was fair and reasonable. In fact, it wasn't that long ago. It was during the twelve year period that Conservative Stephen Harper served as prime minister that a line of demarcation  appeared.

Toward the end of Harper's tenure, Canadian media began to play the "race card." One catalyst involved a new arrival to Canada who demanded to cover her face during her citizenship ceremony. General society objected to the idea of Islamic Law overruling 145 years of Canadian tradition. PM Stephen Harper agreed.

An association between conservative politics and "Islamophobia" was born. To this day, mainstream media has clung to the concept. As years passed, a notion of conservatives as racist– both the party and the public– has solidified into a common social perception.

A pertinent question emerges: was this process intentional? Is it an act of slander on the part of media to prop up the Liberal Party, resulting in a run of success under the rule of woke warrior Justin Trudeau?

Smart money says it is the simple truth. Those of us who qualify as Old Stock citizens are likely to recognize the dynamic. Justin Trudeau's preferred "new Canadians"– not so much. This being one in a plethora of reasons our PM prefers one community over the other.

It is with irony that we point out a piece of reality: the first ruling government in Canada to introduce legislated human rights was a federal Conservative government. In 1957, PM John Diefenbaker advocated for the adoption of a bill of rights. In 1960, as prime minister, Diefenbaker introduced the Canadian Bill of Rights, enacted by Parliament in the same year.

Degree to which CBC, CTV, Globe & Mail and Toronto Star give a damn?

Begin at zero, and go forth from there. For Canada's woke media, this may as well have occurred in the Stone Age. The only element of national history mainstream media has an interest in is the kind which brands Canadian history bigoted.

Let us recognize a profound truth: it's not that Conservatives have changed. Rather, the transformation is found in media's presentation of Conservative Canadians. In 2022, legacy media are intentionally and with malice portraying big "C" and little "c" citizens as malevolent racists.

Pourquoi? How obvious the answer is. Because the ruling Liberal government are paying them to promote undeserved prejudice against these people. Why? To assist Team Trudeau with their goal of remaining in power forever.

What a wicked game they play. Anyone else notice this singular fact? Since the day Justin Trudeau became prime minister, racism has risen in priority to become Canada's number one social issue. A random occurrence? Only the most naive– in addition to Liberal snowflakes– would draw this conclusion.

Fully calculated it is. All hail the power of the race card! So omnipotent that it can move Canadian mountains. Or at the least, corral a segment of society into a bullpen of stereotyping as hate-filled bigots.

It is not that Conservatives have changed. It is everything around them. Including a calculated Liberal-Media agenda to ship these people beyond the borders of the cult of Woke Liberalism.

[Media must NOT be paid by Govt which has made it a mere organ of the Govt .. all toward Libs maintaining power forever .]

Britain's Online Safety Bill would make it mandatory for social media services to tackle both illegal posts as well as material that is "legal but harmful," a vague definition that has attracted criticism from some in the tech industry over concerns that it may stifle free speech.

"Twitter and all social media platforms must protect their users from harm on their sites," a U.K. government spokesperson told CNBC.

"We are introducing new online safety laws to safeguard children, prevent abusive behaviour and protect free speech," the spokesperson said. "All tech firms with users in the U.K. will need to comply with the new laws or face hefty fines and having their sites blocked."

The stakes for platforms like Twitter would be even higher under the Online Safety Bill, which threatens jail time for company executives for serious violations, as well as penalties of up to 10% of annual global sales.

The legislation, which is yet to be approved by U.K. lawmakers, is expected to become law later this year.

Musk said earlier in the day after the EU's threats were issued that, "The extreme antibody reaction from those who fear free speech says it all."

The Flea Trap / The Motor Cycle Thingy this weekend

https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/will-ottawa-police-be-prepared-for-the-rolling-thunder-convoy-experts-weigh-in-1.5880355">As a convoy of bikers heads to the nation's capital this weekend, all eyes are on the Ottawa Police Service as it works to avoid a repeat of the 'Freedom Convoy' occupation that paralyzed downtown streets for weeks earlier this year.

Around 500 motorcycles participating in the "Rolling Thunder" convoy are expected to roll into Ottawa on Friday for a series of rallies and other events throughout the week.

Ottawa police were widely criticized for its lack of enforcement action during the "Freedom Convoy" trucker occupation. But Steve Bell, the city's interim police chief, has vowed to make sure the police force "will not allow for unsafe or unlawful conditions that could lead to another unlawful protest."

Ottawa City Councillor Theresa Kavanagh says "there's no doubt" that police will be better prepared this time.

Police are setting up an exclusion zone for vehicles around Ottawa's downtown core and Byward Market. Roads will only be open for residential and business traffic, pedestrians, cyclists and public transit.

"We're ready now. The rust is off. The police agencies are prepared to deal with any unlawful forms of protest that may come up.

Ottawa residents are pre-emptively parking their own cars on the street to prevent a protester from possibly parking in front of their homes.

With proper planning and good intelligence, Kempa says the trucker convoy would have never "spired out of control."

"We don't need to get back to that situation of emergency ever again. And the inquiry is designed to uncover what went wrong, so that we never do the same thing for the same reasons twice," he said.

[As to what they are protesting, I can't find a clear reason even on the organizer's website.. the "what" is even less clear than back last winter]

https://nypost.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2022/03/meat-infertility-01.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&w=744">

Men who eat too much meat are raising the risk of becoming infertile, a study has claimed.

Experts warned that those who plan to have a baby should make sure they are eating limited levels of chicken, beef and lamb.

The research, conducted at the University of Worcester, found high protein diets decrease men's testosterone by 37 percent.

For the average man, this would cause medically low testosterone (hypogonadism), the experts said.

Lead researcher Joe Whittaker, a nutritionist, told The Sun: "Low testosterone levels cause low sperm counts, which is the major determinant of men's fertility.

"In our study, high protein diets caused low testosterone, so it is very likely they also caused low sperm counts, which would reduce men's fertility."

Low testosterone is also linked to chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer's.

The paper, published in the academic journal Nutrition and Health, described the effects as "protein poisoning," which is when the breakdown of protein into ammonia becomes toxic.

It suggested the body may become too occupied in fixing protein poisoning that it suppresses the production of testosterone.

Mr. Whittaker said: "It would take one to two weeks to see the first signs of protein poisoning such as nausea, diarrhea, and low testosterone (including the related symptoms e.g. low sex drive)."

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/07/wild-pigs-feared-absolute-destruction-canada">Canada's wild pigs risk 'absolute destruction' if left unchecked

Expert says pigs are 'worst invasive wild mammal on the planet', carrying diseases, destroying crops and contaminating water

https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/9547407f23fc82cf335df521cd5ad4690105c58d/0_0_3221_1933/master/3221.jpg?width=620&quality=85&auto=format&fit=max&s=3b727f1d86586ef10e02c50006de4391">

Wild pigs have been spreading across central Alberta's prairies and if left unchecked, could soon find themselves in the river valley of Edmonton. According to Ryan Brook, a University of Saskatchewan professor studying the pigs, the creatures are an "ecological trainwreck" and would cause "absolute destruction" if they make their way to the river valley, which is abundant in water and forest cover.

"They tear up the forest floor, native grasslands get destroyed, wetlands, water systems. They feed on anything where they can, and will kill any pets, for sure," Brook told the Edmonton Journal.

"Wild pigs are the worst invasive wild mammal on the planet – I don't think there's any debate about that."

As omnivores, the pigs will eat virtually anything, including squirrels, birds, eggs, roadkill, live deer and pets. Weighing up to 100kg, the pigs sustain blistering winters by building "pigloos", or burrows that they heap with cattail plants.

"They wallow in wetlands and tear them up to make their nests ... They contaminate water with mud and pathogens, they destroy crops, they are a public safety hazard and they can transmit disease to humans, pets, livestock and wildlife," Brook said.

The pigs can severely jeopardize the livelihood of native wildlife. In addition to competing with native species such as deer and wild turkey, the pigs often beat coyotes to the scene of a kill.

They can also carry 89 diseases including the African swine fever. Another illness, foot and mouth disease, has been estimated by the Alberta Invasive Species Council to cost upwards of $51b in national exports if it spreads to meat products and causes an outbreak.

In addition, wild pigs have been linked to the decline of 22 plant species and four amphibian species.

Last May, the Alberta Invasive Species Council launched the Squeal on Pigs campaign in an attempt to control the pigs' spread. The campaign urges residents to report wild pig sightings to authorities so they "can make plans to eliminate entire sounders [a group of wild pigs] at once".

Coastal Gaslink workers 'shaken' following violent attack at Morice River drill site

HOUSTON BC — Mounties in Houston, B.C. are investigating a violent incident that left Coastal Gaslink (CGL) workers "shaken."

It happened shortly after midnight this morning (Feb.17) on the Marten Forest Service Road.

"It was reported approximately 20 people, some armed with axes, were attacking security guards and smashing their vehicle windows. It was initially reported that some CGL workers were trapped, but all had managed to safely leave the area," says the RCMP.

When police arrived at the 41 km mark, RCMP say "the roadway had been blocked with downed trees, tar covered stumps, wire, boards with spikes in them, and fires had been lit throughout the debris. As police worked their way through the debris and traps, several people threw smoke bombs and fire lit sticks at the police, injuring one officer."

has grown to over $300 Million and now includes businesses going after truckers & contributors for loss of revenue

The class-action lawsuit launched by Ottawa residents against protesters in the city's downtown now includes an expanded area to include Sandy Hill and ByWard Market residents.

The team behind the original court action is adding businesses and workers as plaintiffs because they reported lost income, expanding total damages sought from $9.8 million to $306 million, and including a larger geographical area that extends to Somerset Street and the ByWard Market.

Lawyer Paul Champ successfully argued for a court-ordered injunction to silence the honking horns that plagued residents for the initial 11 days of the protest involving hundreds of semi-trucks and people who are against COVID-19 health measures.

Champ said his team is also going to start adding defendants who donated to truckers, as well as the truckers involved, as part of the action. The original suit named five defendants described as organizers but allowed for others to be named at a later date.

The injunction request came out of the proposed class-action lawsuit filed with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on Feb. 7 by Champ, who was acting on behalf of Zexi Li, a 21-year-old public servant and downtown Ottawa resident.

11 perps .. so far

Found in those 3 alone, 12 long guns ... many more pistols  ... huge supplies of ammo ... many Body Armor Suits ... many very large capacity magazines

Intention was to "use it when police started to shut it down"

https://globalnews.ca/news/8509211/bc-company-fusion-energy-milestone/">B.C.-based company announces milestone that could lead to commercial fusion energy

A British Columbia-based company has announced a major breakthrough that it believes could lead to the world's first commercial fusion energy plant.

General Fusion in Burnaby says it has achieved milestone targets for the prototype of its fusion demonstration plant, which can accommodate the extreme conditions of fusion, such as temperatures up to 150 million C.

"When you're trying to contain a plasma, which is a super-heated form of hydrogen, at conditions and temperatures at the centre of the sun ... it's very hard to think of putting it inside a machine and that machine lasting the lifetime of a power plant," explained CEO Chris Mowry.

"General Fusion is driving on a path where we could be putting a shovel in the ground on the first commercial plant before the end of the decade."

https://globalnews.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/General-Fusion.png">

Fusion power is a proposed form of clean energy generation that involves heating up two substances — deuterium and tritium — until their atoms collide and fuse into helium and a neutron, which contain a substantial amount of energy.

That energy can be harnessed and used to create electricity.

General Fusion's Magnetized Target Fusion (MTF) technology uses a swirling cylinder of liquid metal to safely compress and heat the required plasma to the right conditions. The concept itself isn't new, but the company believes it has matured the technology.

[It is an extremely clean form of energy which is not fully covered in this article]

This is because while we can protest against or fight evil people, against stupid ones we are defenseless — reasons fall on dead ears.

Bonhoeffer's famous text, which we slightly edited for this video, serves any free society as a warning of what can happen when certain people gain too much power.

Yes, it's 20 minutes long  ... but it clearly explains

1. Why thanks to how we develop meat in tightly packed confines,  Covid developed (with or without  deliberate gain of function work on China's part introduced to tightly packed animals along with it)

and 2. Why worse cannot not come from tightly packed animal production "farms"

(Note the 20 story tightly packed  pig factory / incubation machine as an extreme example of how far humans have gone, setting us up for more falls)

And, yes we & EU do it also, albeit on a slightly less dense scale, still we also have the "perfect incubators" & variant factories  for viruses far worse than seen yet
