Well, Shen Li  Vancouver doesn't have any idea what 'sustainable develoment' is or means. Instead, they knock down old buildings (some nothing wrong with them) then replace them with ginormous structures where the rent is 3x the old building.

I'm pretty sure that Singapore has figgered out that even the burger flippers/won ton makers in their city need a place to stay.

It wasn't this way 10 or 20 years ago.
Now it's insane where 2 or 3 people end up sharing a 1 BR apartment.
