The teenager, who was given the name Xavier Musk at birth, legally requested their moniker be changed to Vivian Jenna Wilson,

The name Wilson is the maiden name of the teen's mom, Justine Musk.

So much for "Long Hard Saga of Great Importance" :confused1:

This is how bad it gets

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/elon-musk-biden-democratic-party-controlled-unions-next-level-insanity">Musk took particular issue with the Democratic Party's strong relationship with union leadership.

Musk took the opportunity to explain his feelings about the Democratic Party, their relationship to labor unions, and Tesla's exclusion from a White House electric vehicles event because the company is not unionized.

Musk took particular issue with the Democratic Party's strong relationship with union leadership.

He continued, "Last year, Biden held an EV summit where Tesla was explicitly not allowed to come, but the [United Auto Workers] was. So, Tesla has made two-thirds of all the electric vehicles in the United States."

The UAW is one of the most well-organized and politically powerful unions in the United States, with influence in both political parties.

Musk took issue with Biden praising GM CEO Mary Barra at the EV summit for leading the "EV revolution," in a quarter where GM delivered just 26 electric vehicles. "That's some next-level insanity," Musk said.

He reiterated, "They have so much power over the White House that they can exclude Tesla from an EV summit — insane."

I'm not concerned about monkeypox.

For myself, nor am I   .. and I was not suggesting anyone should fear it

It's more a point of interest ... it's strangely growing very fast in Canada .. some  more cases  today

It aint going to spread like COVID.

No. It's not highly transmissible by air. It's the highly transmissible by air factor that makes most corona viruses so  spreadable

BC  1,163 "known" cases for last reported week .. down another 15% from previous week

This monkeypox thing does spread -  77 in Canada now, 71 in Quebec, 5 in Ontario and 1 in Alberta.

Globally, there are 550 confirmed cases in 30 non-endemic countries where the virus has not usually been found.

thus far the cases in Canada have not spread beyond a specific community where the first cases were identified - originating in a Montreal spa

CC, it's not the people per se. The people of any country are the result of history and social conditioning.

Agreed 100

QuoteFewer "legal" owners will result in fewer "illegal" owners.

Funny you say that today. Today, Canada is putting forward legislation re: hand guns and assault style with database of new models kept daily

Details (data as to acquisitions, etc) all day on TV

They have spent most of today giving us what they have found and reasons

All Govt data says "Bottom line, virtually all all hand guns, in fact guns period, get to criminals via foreign sources "

(We have a huge border quite close to most of our population areas)

All long guns not ranked "assault" remain OK, existing & new purchases - Data base for new assault models kept up daily for future

Strange, new purchases of all handguns banned .. but not touching current ones  :confused1:

It may be because handguns have had such requirements that owners are well picked (I know, mel  :001_rolleyes: ) .. still I'm really confused with how they are doing it all the way they are

New laws will be passed after the shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said on May 27.

"Do we expect any laws to come out of this devastating crime? The answer is yes. Absolutely yes," said Abbott, a Republican. We don't know what the new laws will look like.

They will not be lefty knee jerk auto-gun grab laws. They will be laws to harden schools and also harden who can buy and own a gun, lengthy evaluations etc. .. assessment of mental health etc etc  ... and what guns one can buy
