Quote from: Oerdin on May 16, 2024, 05:18:56 PMThey sort of did.  They wanted to keep charging state taxes on people who left the state for five years after they left.  Federal court struck that down as unconstitutional, obviously.  It does show how badly the state is hit by rich people leaving because of high taxes.  Dems keep lying and denying but their actions prove otherwise.
The state one party Democratic machine is really going to get desperate in the future. You have only seen the tip of the iceberg.

Quote from: Oerdin on May 16, 2024, 05:21:36 PMEVs don't make sense financially or environmentally but that goes double for a cold country like Canada.  Look up how cold temps make batteries lose most of their range.
There are Canadian cities that have spent a fortune on electric bus fleets that are not carrying passengers.

Quote from: Lokmar on May 16, 2024, 10:30:21 AMThis is how muslims always behave. This is how muslims raise their kids to behave. If you want to make it "fair", bring in 100 KKK families and allow them to indoctrinate their kids to beat niggers, faggits, kweerz, and dune coons without jailtime for the parents.

ITS THE SAME FUKIN THING!!!!!
Minnesota and Michigan have pockets of Islamic extremism operating right out in the open.

Quote from: Brent on May 16, 2024, 03:14:03 PMI did not need a report to know that living standards are heading in the wrong direction under Trudeau.

One might assume Trudeau used Hugo Chavez as his governing template.

Quote from: Brent on May 16, 2024, 02:43:28 PMIt seems that at this moment, voters are done with Trudeau, even if he isn't done with them.

Asked on Tuesday about his future and should he step aside for the good of the Liberal Party, Trudeau gave no hint that he plans to go. It seems he still wants to stick around and fight Pierre Poilievre in the next election.
He is arrogant enough to believe Canadians will overlook his economic mismanagement and trampling of liberty if he continues calling Pierre Pollivere a racist.

The number of nationwide immigration gotaways has skyrocketed during Joe Biden's tenure, according to statistics reported by Fox News' Bill Melugin, who indicated that he obtained more than a decade of data via a Freedom of Information Act request.

Some of the numbers include 104,294 for FY 2017; 128,679 for FY 2018; 151,466 for FY 2019; 136,808 for FY 2020; 387,398 in FY 2021; 606,131 in FY 2022; and a whopping 670,674 in FY 2023.

Economic growth is grinding to a halt while inflation just doubled from the previous quarter despite premature Biden claims of "mission accomplished." In fact, inflation hasn't declined since June 2023. Elsewhere, mortgage rates are back above 7% and home ownership is now costlier than ever. Credit card debt and auto loan delinquencies are rising to alarming levels, and office loan defaults have already returned to 2008-09 financial crisis levels.

Consumer sentiment also just sank to levels last seen during the peak inflation days of summer 2022. Meanwhile, deficits have resumed their rise toward the $2 trillion mark while the national debt is at record levels and far exceeds the size of the U.S. economy.

Quote from: Oerdin on May 15, 2024, 07:28:06 PMFred's have required a big increase in payroll taxes in this state for every employed person.  So this will become just yet another reason to hire people in a different state.
The exodus from California is just getting started.

Quote from: Biggie Smiles on May 16, 2024, 03:39:07 PMyou can't say the words climate or change within three minutes of each other or you shall be decapitated!!!!

Climate Activists are huddled in bunkers throughout the state of Florida due to this imperialistic irrational turn of events.

He struck down the ability for fanatical climate activists to leverage weak verbiage in the law to facilitate their own far left agendas. How could he?!?!

hell, everyone knows Florida is the number one exporter of fossil fuels on this sphere we live on and now DeSaantis has made it possible for Florida to single-handedly destroy the Planet!!!!!!

he must be stopped!!!!!!!!!

Simply removing certain language will mean more weather related disasters and higher insurance premiums. The usual non sequiturs from the powerful climate lobby.

First it was energy and now it's food. It was inevitable the left would want to control the food supply.

Quote from: Oerdin on May 15, 2024, 06:14:05 PMWell, this just came out today. Originally they said $24 billion was lost from the state unemployment fund giving away money to people who didn't qualify or who committed fraud but the actual total revealed today is... $55 billion.

I can't make this shit up.

https://youtu.be/uRgIgRBvanc?si=pkLBZBG0yhL7L3A3

The Trump administration even warned Greasy Newscum and his fellow Democrats and told them they had to change the system immediately to prevent mass fraud but Democrats deliberately ignored him.  Now the Federal government is demanding $55 billion he returned to it because the state failed to manage it effectively or even take basic actions to prevent fraud.

California will not pay the money back even if the state could.

Quote from: Frood on May 14, 2024, 08:08:06 PMCanada like most of the West is already lost.
Unfortunately there is some truth to your statement. When the Conservatives become the government next year, there are some things they can change quickly. There are other issues that will take two terms. And there are others again that are hopeless.

Quote from: caskur on May 14, 2024, 06:32:57 PMDo any of you here believe a conservative government can undo what the liberals have done?

I am worried but I can't see people changing morally.

We can't control morality. Our lack of morals is behind a lot of suffering.

How do you put Jeanies back in bottles?

Pierre Pollivere is going to make repealing Trudeau's carbon tax his first act, so that will give instant relief to Canadians struggling under Justinflation.

He will also quickly repeal bills C-49 and C-69 to restore confidence in Canada's energy sector. He will streamline the regulatory process Trudeau brought in that makes approving large industrial projects nearly impossible. This will send a message to international investors that Canada is open for business once again. Investment has fled Canada under Trudeau.

Other areas like fiscal responsibility, health care reform, control over immigration, defunding the CBC are trickier. They will take some time.

Quote from: Oerdin on May 14, 2024, 06:13:43 PMWe literally had brain dead idiots like A.O.C. claiming "who cares?  It is literally free money so we can just print more and we can give it to people who can't work or who don't want to work".  That is how stupid and evil Democrats are.
She is another lefty who is generous with other people's money, but tighter than bark to a tree with her own. She is a millionaire and did not help her own destitute grandmother.
