Quote from: Oerdin on February 02, 2024, 11:22:43 AMDemocrats are pissed off and want to get this proposition removed from the November ballot because it would make it so the state legislature can't raise taxes without a public vote.  If there is one thing Democrats always want it is higher taxes.

They are actually claiming that they won't be able to "fight climate change" without the ability to keep raising taxes.
And there it is. An admission that climate change is an excuse to fleece working folks.

Former Republican governor of Montana and RNC Chair, Marc Racicot urged the Supreme Court to disqualify Trump.

The former governor proceeded to endorse some Democratic candidates in the 2022 election cycle, and voiced support for Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson's U.S. Supreme Court nomination.

He says January 6 was an attempted insurrection and Trump lead it. But, none of these elitist hypocrites even mention the destructive riots across the US that were encouraged by Kamala Harris among many others.

Trump mentioned the names of several contenders for the No. 2 position in the federal government, including Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem—two who have long been seen as top prospects. Other names commonly mentioned are Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.).

But President Trump specifically mentioned Mr. Scott and Ms. Noem during an interview Maria Bartiromo.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday granted Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold—who called former President Donald Trump an "ineligible insurrectionist"—just 10 minutes at a hearing next week to argue before the court why she thinks he should be barred from the ballot.

Mitch McConnell is just as much a piece of frickin shit as democRATs like Chris Coons. At least Coons admits the bill aint about closing the border to the invasion.

It is no secret that Kristi Noem is near the top of the list.

Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) admitted the controversial bill that will allegedly stymie the border crisis won't actually close the border.

On Sunday, the Senate released the full text of the bipartisan Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, which would cost taxpayers $118 billion. More than half of that money ($60 billion, which is more than the entire budget of the U.S. Marine Corps), would be sent to Ukraine, while just $20 billion would be spent on the border crisis.

Big deficits will be the new normal in California.

Even leftist justices on the high court did not appear convinced that the Colorado Supreme Court made the right call.

The U.S. Supreme Court heard roughly two hours of arguments Thursday concerning the effort by six Colorado voters to deny their fellow countrymen the opportunity to vote for the Republican front-runner in the 2024 election.

Jason Murray, a Denver lawyer representing the six voters, struggled to make a case for former President Donald Trump's disqualification, ostensibly tripping over simple questions and facts.

While conservative Justices Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh predictably exposed the various faults in Murray's arguments, even left-leaning Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson seemed unimpressed, casting doubt over whether Section 3 of the 14th Amendment applies and over whether the Centennial State should determine the fate of the nation.

I'd be surprised if any more than 1 votes against Trump. Even the loons know this will fuck them over in the end.
