Quote from: JOE on December 31, 2023, 11:52:57 PMI prefer ta make my own money, Reggie.

Heck I'm also on my way to completing My Playboy Magazine collection for their first 20 years, eh?

Actually, completing that set is a lot easier than collecting a run of rare comic books or coins, eh?

And cheaper too. I'm surprised that Playboy #1 can still be had for as little as $2,000 US in low grade, which isn't bad considering that Superman #1 sells for $1 million dollars.

So, while I can't afford Superman or Rogers Hornsby baseball cards, I managed ta snag Penthouse #1 US edition for $60 some time ago.

I'm workin' on getting ZAP Comix #1 by Robert Crumb, eh?
However, the price is still a bit too high. Hopefully an economic slowdown/recession might knock the collectibles market prices down a bit.

I got a bunch of Furry Freak Brothers comics in a box somewhere.  Maybe I shoud sell them on eBay to collectors like you?

Just be careful with them Playboys, Joe.  You won't be able to sell them for much if the pages are stuck together.

Quote from: JOE on December 31, 2023, 10:21:57 PMWell Prowler, I coulda gotten the same plan from Rogers.

But I don't trust them, cuz they had a major network meltdown a couple of years ago.

so I chose Telus as a second option.

I gotta Rogers line for the other phone.

But I don't wanna be stranded like I was once with havin' only Rogers as a provider. From what I understand this has happened to Rogers at least 2 times. They're simply not reliable.

Even a cheap no frills provider like Koodoo is actually better than an expensive Rogers plan because at least there's no excessive down time.

Why don't you just let Thiel get you a new phone?  He'll probably give you a nice stongbox to keep your coins and sports cards in too ... and some red leather assless chaps to wear around the house when you're doing housework.

Quote from: caskur on December 27, 2023, 06:15:48 AMWhy was Israel's name changed to Palestine?

It was the Roman Emperor Hadrian's fault.  After the third Jew revolt, he was so pissed at the cunting jews that he had Jerusalem leveled and renamed it Aquilia-something, mass deported all the local jews, which is why we have jews all over the fucking place for the next 2000 years and renamed the entire province "Palestina" because some Greek dude told him that's what the place was called before any jews came there.

When the Romans first took over the area, almost three hundred years before, they called their new province "Judea" after the tiny little third world jew kingdom that groveled before Roman might when they first marched there.

Quote from: Biggie Smiles on December 27, 2023, 08:19:52 PMThat's not the answer my friend.

In the late 1800s and most of the 1900s we had little to no automation and society thrived.

15 dollar an hour jobs have their place in our society as they provide a gateway into the workforce for younger and parttime workers looking to make some pocket money while they are busy building a real skill.

but to expect this to be a career shows just how fucking "deadbeat" the left really is.

If a 15.00 or even 20.00 dollar an hour is to be a viable life long career choice in the minds of these idiots then they need to make life's expenses more palatable to that type of income.

In the early 1900's a man could support an entire family on a salary as a grocery store clerk.

Try that shit in California today.

I remember getting excited about a $10 an hour job.

Then I turned 19.

News & Current Events / Re: Hamas Christmas in New York
December 25, 2023, 03:43:14 PM
Quote from: Brent on December 25, 2023, 02:36:46 PMGroups sympathetic to terror organization Hamas planned and executed a massive rally in New York City on Saturday after vowing to disrupt the Christmas holiday as a means of encouraging people to join the largely anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel. The groups, including radical liberal groups People's Forum and Palestinian Youth Movement, organized the protests, which drew huge crowds to Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, which disrupted traffic and doubtless left numerous already-panicked last minute shoppers disgruntled at the disruption.

They're having a "caravan" protest right now around Chicagoland.  The proggie punks get on the expressways and drive around really slow blocking all the traffic lanes.  Kinda dumb to do it on Christmas when no one is out and about and no one cares, but we are talking about dumb proggies here.

Anyway, I ain't gonna get into that with you.  It's fun to watch you and Reaps go back and forth though.

Quote from: Shen Li on December 23, 2023, 06:10:27 PMNo, it was dead wrong and it will be reversed by SCOTUS. Where is the logic of applying this insurrection provision when none of the Jan. 6 protesters has actually been convicted in court or even charged under the criminal statute that covers insurrection. Including Trump.

In other words they are saying he is guilty of a crime for which nobody has been convicted. Trump will be on the ballot in Colorado. This can't and won't stand. I'm certain of it.

Just like how he's being prosecuted in New York for "over inflating" property values to secure loans, a "crime" for which there is no complaintant and no individual or corporate entity that has been defrauded.

Like I said somewhere else, you couldn't have sold a fiction novel about shit like this just five or six years ago because it's so fucking crazy.

So, I've been dark for a bit.  Aside from the usual who's stupid at BF, the most pressing question I have from my absence as regards forum gossip is:

Has Thiel tapped Old Joe's anal Shangri La yet?

We all know Old Joe would like that better than an old gold coin.

One my first day in office, I will secure the border and remove the Biden era shackles placed on our energy sector.  That will be before lunch.  After lunch, I will fire the entire Department of Justice and disband the weaponized and politicized FBI.  After dinner, if I still feel like working and I always do, I will order the elimination of the Department of Education.

We'll take care of the rest of the Swamp the next day.
