More fool you if your answer is in the affirmative, you would be letting progressive libtardism to be framing your perception.
This is not simply me saying so either, I'm going by how it was framed to me all those years ago in Flame4cash, by the site owner's and participants words and examples. What you (and I guess Caskur) are attempting to market as flaming was generally frowned upon and had another name entirely... "hating".
Now if Caskur were to come out and market herself as Queen of the Haters... that would be a claim of arguable substance. But she is not a flamer, not even a flamer's arsehole because hatred and anger have no place in the craft and she has plenty of both. She's been hating on me on and off (mostly on) for eighteen years, has called for my banning and real world death on innumerable occasions, promised to defile my grave, orchestrated campaigns against friends and business associations of mine.
I've never responded in kind. None of the flamers I knocked around with at Flame4Cash would have contemplated such behaviour, since in our endeavours we knew implicitly that it was a game to be waged for mutual amusement. And wage it we did, our terms of reference had far greater scope than even this site's rules would have afforded us.
I realise and respect this is not a concept you can easily grasp. You weren't there, you have no example to make observation and a whole bunch of conflicting bullshit from similarly bereft individuals who demand weight of numbers be their authority and carry their tale.
I was there. I saw it go down. I am in a better position to comment on it than someone who got their story second, third or fourth hand. And unlike the rest, I have precisely zero to gain by misrepresenting what I saw. I was headhunted to that site by a colleague in mIRC who saw what I was capable of and was kind enough to turn me loose in the bigger paddock.
72 hours after joining, I was presented with a choice by the site owner... take a run at the cash prize OR join the Hell's Kitchen Crew to lend my input on which of the participants were top of the heap and which weren't. There is not a single person you can point to that can honestly claim that, not even Looney/Cookie Monster. Though to be fair to him, he was one of the people I fenced with and willingly, since he too was about the funny and not the kill at all costs and salt the earth thereafter.
It is also as good an indication as you are going to get that my understanding of the game called "Flaming" was commensurate with its practitioners, who were the envy of sites like Brawl Hall. BH co-admin Danger practically fell about the place all googly eyed and mooning after me when I jumped ship to BH in '03, but it wasn't long before she attempted to exert control over who I flamed, preferring to pit me against "tards" (of whom Fox/Poppy was numbered among). When I refused to knuckle under her claims of "we must show a united front against the tards" she instead started courting the associations of tards who were all too ready to do her bidding. A similar situation would later be in play at Flame Champs where The Bra1n repeatedly trolled Caskur back to the plate because "the flamers need a punching bag to practice on." His words, not mine.
I disagree with that mentality. As do most flamers.

Caskur can pretend as much as she likes. I've no axe to grind with her, but she is not flamer material. This subforum can name itself The Flame Pit, but it is not a place where flaming takes place. Nor does it need to be. Just like Caskur, it can stand on its own merits (if it chooses to do so) without people pretending to be what it is not.

Flame 'matches' appeared toward the end of that era and in my opinion contributed to its demise.
What used to be a type of performance art became a popularity contest with all the drama and shenanigans that implies.
"Flaming" was dumbed down, homogenized, and corrupted.
What you see people crowing about these days is that bastardized version of a pale imitation of the real thing.

Caskur's understanding (Flynn's too) is inferior to even that lowly station and only a weak and destitute intellect could find entertainment in what they do. Leftie mindset, basically.
It's all good. I got mine, even if they never did. And I'm happy I was in the right place at the right time for its peak. A lot of great memories, but those days are long gone. Like morris dancing, slide nights and what are you eating/doing/fisting threads, it had its day and was well on the way to obsolescence by the time the tards seconded it and proceeded to gum their Crayolas at it for their participation trophies.
