Fair enough if Trump had done anything overtly illegal, it would be reasonable to have locked him up. Not that it would have made a lot of difference since imprisoned US citizens by birth are legally entitled to run for the office of president. Indeed, it has already happened previously, though admittedly the efforts of those that tried were unsuccessful. But in Donald Trumps case the overtly political nature of the left's attacks against him were becoming obvious to an increasingly widening swathe of the population and might very well have afforded him a greater margin of victory as a result. Not something I imagine the average non-US citizen appreciates in countries with less media freedom than the US.
What is also generally not acknowledged on the world stage is the corruption invoked in the attempt to put him behind bars. The New York case is a perfect example; a misdemeanor that rightly ought to have been laid at the feet of his accountant was elevated to that of a felony to get around the statute of limitations? Yeah, the people responsible for that ought to be strung up and beaten with rubber hoses. And those that cheered it and who are now crying foul as people of less standing are falling to the same precedent that are set... ridiculed and laughed at ad infinitum. "You done fucked up there... suck on Bubba's big fat cheesy one you wanker" would be a good start. Especially since in all too many cases it is becoming clear that your own is provably much easier to hold up to the same yardstick and be found wanting.
Whether Trump was exceptionally careful not to get his hands dirty or ran the cleanest campaign ever is beside the point. These pricks got caught hurling rocks from their glass houses and now the shoe is well and truly on the other foot. Fuck 'em, they deserve it. "Nobody is above the law", not even them.

Based on what is presented in the documentary itself and how far things had progressed in the shorter video directly above, you might extrapolate just how dire the situation is in South Africa at present.
It should not be necessary to do this to intuit why the US and other countries have moved the idea of accepting refugees from that corner of the world. If the left were genuine in their professed quest to liberate oppressed minorities, this would be an argument that they could throw their weight behind and in doing so, create bipartisan support that would assure a measure of success in making it happen. They might show support for this particular minority without weakening their case any for accepting Afghani and Palestinian refugees.
That they do not do this only validates this thread's topic. A bunch of hypocrites whose concern rests not with liberating minorities, but with destroing the culture of Western society because eggless lesbian whores like Rachel Maddow said so.
