As bad as Canadian health care is, it will get much worse. It is unsustainable.

I have clients that have or will go to the US or abroad to get the care they cannot receive in Canada. It does not have to be this way, but collectively we would rather bankrupt the system rather than reform the Canada Health Act. And I mean all the federal parties including the Conservatives.

The core of Canada's financial predicament lies in its staggering household debt. Canada's debt to household disposable income ratio has been nearly 200 per cent for years now. A figure that places it in first place among G7 countries.

Quote from: . on May 26, 2025, 07:06:59 AMNo wonder the government is getting behind programs like MAID. When people's backs are to the wall, a few timely injections can stifle much of the wails of anguish and the government can tax the shit out of the deceased estates.

So glad I got out when I did.
Canada is becoming a world leader for some dubious distinctions like medical assistance in dying.

Canada is screwed. Consumer and public debt are reaching crisis levels.

Time for Alberta and Saskatchewan to bail before the ship sinks to the bottom.

TORONTO, May 6, 2025 /CNW/ - A new national study from Money.ca reveals that Canada is facing a mounting debt and delinquency crisis, with average non-mortgage debt rising and delinquency rates spiking sharply across the country. The findings from Canada's Rising Debt Crisis shed light on growing financial vulnerability among Canadians, fueled by inflationary pressures, high housing costs, and rising interest rates.
