Jo Jo and I were discussing that it's a lot more dangerous for gay men to come out as conservative than to come out. That is particularly true when going to a hospital.

Malinda Cook, a nurse anesthetist employed at Virginia Commonwealth University Health, was terminated from her position following the circulation of TikTok videos in which she encouraged medical professionals to use syringes containing a paralytic drug against ICE agents.

In the videos Cook suggested filling syringes with saline or succinylcholine—a medication that induces temporary paralysis—as a means of sabotage or deterrence. She stated, "Sabotage tactic, or at least scare tactic. All the medical providers, grab some syringes with needles on the end. Have them full of saline or succinylcholine, you know, whatever. Whatever. That will probably be a deterrent. Be safe." Additional videos reportedly included suggestions to lace agents' food with laxatives or use poison ivy as part of resistance tactics, as detailed by the Daily Mail and other outlets.

Virginia Commonwealth University Health placed Cook on leave initially and later confirmed her firing in a statement, emphasizing that her actions did not align with the organization's values.
